At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Water caressed the edges of her paws, a chill reaching up her calves with every wave that hit the shore. It was light and airy, swift and exposed in the limelight of day. Her head faced the wind, aerial dances fluttering her with woebegone means. Though, despite their efforts, Mink felt gratified. She found joy in the simple things in life, and still with the breath of the world on her features, bared a smile to anyone who would like to see. Ghosts of the past, maybe the future. The lady exhaled as she moved, looking towards the direction of the female to her right. The energy coming off of her was beautiful, and it drew the white vixen towards her. A small hello moved from the pit of her kissers. And with it, followed a smile. Her ears fluttered with an anticipation. And soon, the sound of a croon filtered down her towers. “Hello. What brings you to the lake, stranger?”

What had brought the eve to the lake? The wind, as it was. But that was not what she wanted to answer. She was feeling a plethora of things, all of which would be appropriate to say. However, the perfect word has escaped her mind. She hoped it would come later. “I went towards the sound of water. And here I am. It is a beautiful day for commentary, don’t you agree?” Mink smiled and let herself rest herself onto the shore. The propinquity of being close to another being was beautiful, and to that the girl was grateful. She wanted close relationships of wolves she had not met yet, as she was missing anything that fit under that criteria. But she faced every day with a smile, and that alone brightened her day. But before she could continue, she turned her head. She didn’t speak, but waited. The ess felt another wolf at the back of her neck, and waited as she began to come closer. The swift movement of sand was evident in her ears, as if the newcomer were moving with a lilt. Her ears flickered but soon stopped when the vixen she had joined moments before raised her vocals. “Hello, miss.”

The ingenue relaxed, wondering why she had felt such tension. It disappeared within moments, evaporating into the wind like light mist. Mink wanted to resume the conversation, and parted her nozzle to do so. Her voice was soft. “I’m sorry, I don’t think I caught your names.” It felt good to speak, even as the darkness around her seemed obscure in its means. Despite anything, she nodded, feeling the soft sigh of wind on her face. “I am Mink.” She waited calmly for the others to respond, perhaps also waiting for one of them to continue the conversation. But she felt strange. And it wasn’t uneven as she sometimes felt, or the lack of good in other parts of her life. It was different to experience this, because each of them gave her different feelings that mixed into one. The sensation was ineffable, though she felt it on the tip of her mind. It was happy, sunny, carefree. It felt like freedom. But then it hit her; slowly, and then all at once. It was the bliss of not being able to think alone.
