Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Family. Duty. Honor.

Family. It always came back to family it seemed. If he was alone his thoughts were on his family, if they were even still alive, if they were safe, if they were happy. He wondered about his brothers who had left to fight, when he was too young to do so at the time. He wondered about his mother who had joined his eldest brother, bringing her experience and intellect. He wondered about his sisters who had left with their father, to be used for negotiation, if they were still stuck in the awful pack that their father had been forced to go to. And he wondered about his youngest brother, the one that he had failed, that he had lost. Was he even alive? Did he find someone to help him, to teach him how to live, or was he barely surviving on his own. The brute knew that eventually conversation would go to family and he would have to face these thoughts around Cora, he just hoped that she didn’t pick up on the sadness and almost panic that came to him when they began speaking about family. He answered her calmly and continued conversation with her, wanting to also learn about her and her family. When he told her that he wanted to find his family he saw her frame nod in the darkness, but still could not see her expressions in the dark, “That’s great. I find it important to look for something. To make your life the best it can be.” It was now his turn to nod at her in agreement, not entirely what to say to her next, so he took a turn to ask about her family.

“Perhaps in the future. Tell me a little more about Bright Moon. What kind of pack is it?” He was not sure if she just did not like talking about her family as he did, or if she was not on good terms with her family. Whatever the case Summer did not want to ask, did not feel right asking something so personal when he knew that he would struggle talking about his family in more detail. The smoky brute was surprised when she asked about the pack. He remembered her saying that she had been a loner and not a part of a pack, was she perhaps considering joining a pack? A small smile appeared on his kissers for a moment at the thought of having a friend in his pack, maybe it would feel more like home if he had someone he could truly call a friend there. ”Well it is a quieter pack. It does not have a large group of lupines there and no one bothers anyone. For the most part it seems that everyone stays to themselves. It can be good at sometimes and lonely at others. It’s different than my home pack for sure, where everyone was nosy and always in everyone’s business, but sometimes it’s nice just to have someone to talk to. Darcia is still somewhat new. He is…interesting. He isn’t bad, don’t get me wrong, but he’s different than any alpha I’ve met. I get the sense that there is a side to him we have not yet seen, but he is loyal to all in the pack for sure. His beta, Iason, is even more interesting. They seem to have an interesting relationship…one you’ll have to see in person to really appreciate.” He stopped speaking for a moment, thinking about what else there was to say about the pack, ”We have had a few newcomers recently and I am glad to call it home.” His yellow orbs looked towards her frame in the dark, wondering what it was that she was thinking.

The smoky brute did not have to wait long to hear the creamy ess’ thoughts though, “You wouldn’t mind escorting me to this place, would you Summer? I have made my decision, and I think it would be best to move now. Thank you.” She rose from the position on the ground the two had taken up as she spoke, and he followed her, getting to his paws as well. He shook his pelt out, letting out the dirt that had settled while lying on the ground beside the femme. ”Of course Cora, it would be my pleasure.” He turned and smiled at her, not sure if she would be able to see his gesture in the dark. He turned and headed towards the sky that was no longer showing signs of the storm that had happened not too long ago. He paused at the entrance of the caverns, letting the femme head out before him, following close behind her.

Summer took the lead after Cora exited the caverns, turning in the direction of his pack, hopefully soon to be their pack. There was still a bit more wind than normal after the storm and it ruffled Summer’s smoky gray pelt, but it was not too much to interfere with their walk. After a few moments he turned to Cora, his yellow orbs meeting her bright green ones, ”So why the decision to join a pack? I’m glad you are, just curious is all. I hope you don’t mind me asking.” He spoke softly to her, worried about digging too much into her personal life, but he really wanted to consider her a friend. He waited to see if she would speak, padding along beside her. It did not take them long though to reach the borders of Bright Moon. The scent of his pack was strong in his nares when they reached the borders. ”Here we are.” He spoke when they reached the beginnings of the territory. He sat down, still outside the territory so he could stay with her. ”Are you ready for me to call Darcia to us? Someone else may join us too since you will smell like a stranger to those inside.” He was sure that she knew this, Cora was not a stupid lupine, but he did not want her to be surprised if someone else doing a border patrol showed up to investigate. He waited patiently, giving her time if she wanted it before preparing to call the alpha to meet her.
