She hardly gave me time to move before she was underneath the cover, even more soaked then I was. Not for long though, as she shook off her pelt, sending water droplets spinning through the air. "Hey, hey! I just got dry!" I said with a grimace, though it was pretty clear I wasn't angry with her. She was a pretty little thing, and seemed fairly well-mannered, and he supposed there were worse wolves he could be stuck beneath an overhang with. She spoke her thanks and I chuckled, "Don't worry about it. Happy to help you out." I was of the idea that no silence was awkward unless you pointed it out, I tended to just let conversation dictate itself. Though it wouldn't be much fun to be stuck in a small space without talking, so of course I would carry on the conversation as it were.
She introduced herself -- Gaia. It was a pretty name. She named her parents, but the names meant nothing to me. Perhaps it was a formality in these lands. I kept the names in mind should I ever happen across them, but I disregarded them for the time being and focused on her. A loner from the woods she called herself, a wanderer perhaps. I smiled.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Gaia." There was something about saying the name of another that made them feel reassured, that had been one of my first lessons as a... diplomat? I wasn't quite sure if that was exactly the right name for my job title. I had done a lot more murdering than a diplomat usually would. So perhaps that wasn't the right name, but it wasn't that important, I could say diplomat anyways if I wanted to. It sounded nicer then hitman.
"Well, it wasn't gloomy when I got here." I said, my fiery eyes glancing up at the dark sky. "But I guess y'could say I'm a wanderer too. Haven't had a home for a long time. I'm not even quite sure what this place is called, t' be honest, or if I'll even stay." I shrugged. There wasn't much more to say on the matter, I really didn't think much about what would happen to me in the future or what I would even be doing tomorrow.
