Let your nightmares escape your dreams....
By what the brute was telling her, Bright Moon seemed quiet and unique, as he had put it. She nodded, the physicality of the pack intriguing as her desire began to grow. The ess nodded, and within a few moments, they were on their way, and the wind surged through her as she stepped out from the darkness. Cora was relieved to see the light again, the scents of day relapsing into her nares. She stood for a moment, draining all of the feeling from the cave out and replacing them with the feeling of the outside. The girl opened her eyes, then followed the brute that had taken his leave to show her the place of his pack land. And she felt surprisingly relaxed. Perhaps this was the time she would find herself a home.
They walked for a small distance, until her auds perked as her friend spoke. With a quiet ear turned, she listened. “So why the decision to join a pack? I’m glad you are, just curious is all. I hope you don’t mind me asking.” Cora smiled, the warmth of the outside warming her skin to the touch. The fae inhaled deeply, a smile penetrating the outside of her face. “Of course not. It just dawned on me that this might be the time I actually find a place to belong. Moving around for all of my life doesn’t give me closure, or sanctuary. And starting in a place like this I feel will help me on my way.” She lifted herself up higher, her cream colored pelt soaking in the sunshine as they went. There was little conversation after she spoke, as Summer had just announced they had arrived. A plethora of scents overcame her as they arrived at the demesne. They were near a small island of forest, the trees bleeding out their welcome as Cora felt the rush of a breeze throb through her fur. Her green gaze found quickly the telltale signs of life. Despite what Summer said about it being quiet, it was thick and thriving with life.
Summer again asked her if she was ready for a call to the alpha. Frankly, the ideas of how to behave around ranking wolves were dismissed from her mind. Though, these incipient moments would provide her with enough to go on, so she raised her head and matched her eyes with the one’s beside her. “Thank you, Summer. That would be wonderful.” And a rush of different perceptions and speculation loomed from her psyche. Though these, she could not pinpoint, and waited patiently as she hoped they would calm down.
