Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Antoinette made her way through the woods, her dainty body slipping through the trees like a fish through a stream. She treaded lightly, being mindful of the sounds she might make, sidestepping any and every obstacle in her path. The princess was determined to impress the older male, she wanted nothing more at this moment then to show him what she could be capable of. Her large meal gave her all the energy she needed to track Samil. Her nose was pressed to the ground as she tracked his scent through the woods. When she would lose his scent she used the subtle hints he had left behind to pick back up on it. Perhaps he was making it easier for her by doing so, but the girl felt a real sense of accomplishment when she picked the trail back up again.

Her tail bobbed lightly as she trotted through the forest, trying her best to be quiet and attentive while also maintaining a relatively quick pace. Antoinette's mind was a blank slate as she concentrated only on the task in front of her. A light indentation in the soil, a disturbed pile of leaves, all of the signs eventually led her towards the bank of the river where Samil had been a few minutes before. She paused and glanced up and down the bank. The pale lady walked up and down the bank but both died out after a few meters. She snorted and plunged through the river, the icy water in contrast to the warm air.

He had done the same on the other bank side, but she wasn't going to fall for that confusion trick again, she had already wasted enough time. Her pink eyes caught a snag of fur on a branch and she took off at a lope in that direction, picking up on Samil's scent once again. Antoinette thought she must have been getting close now and so she slowed down, and took care to walk quietly. Her tail bobbed lightly behind her as she saw the den through the trees. Had he gone in there? It was hard to tell, the trail had become a bit disturbed.

Checking inside wouldn't hurt though. Antoinette creeped towards the entrance to the den, the stench of decay reaching her nose and causing it to crinkle in disgust. She wasn't entirely sure she wanted to go inside there.
