He was expecting something out of her, perhaps he was somewhat saved by the fact his two children were there watching them that her bite would be absent and perhaps she was figuring out that they loved him as much as they loved her. It was equal care, at least he thought so, and he loved his children too. He had told her the day she screamed at him about being pregnant that he wanted to take care of them, even though really did he have a choice? Still though he wanted to play a part in their lives and shared parenting was about as peaceful as they could get, especially seeing as she kept chasing him away and giving him certain times when, generally, she wasn’t around or doing a task for her pack.

Amutaq stared her down waiting for the inevitable flare he expected for explaining just what he thought it so important for them to leave together. It mattered a lot to him, he knew where the best hunting spots, den areas and prey could be found. He had lived in the loner lands for a few years now and been a loner for most of his life it was just more comfortable living on his own and to be honest he didn’t want them all to go back, he wanted to stay out here. But he be lying if he said these last months he hadn’t gotten damn attached to his kids. Plus hell knows when that woman would go running off again.

He was surprised by her reaction. His green and gold eyes watched as the female continued crying before him, letting lose a large sigh by the end of his explanation. He waited for it, the explosion, but it never came instead he was only further surprised by an apology and a thanks for being a good father. He blinked absently for a moment doing his best to keep his maw from going agape. Of all the reactions he had expected gratitude was not one of them. For a second there, that soft sounding voice, it reminded him of that night when they had met and she had conceived their children. But something sparked in him. Yeah he was just in it for the play, he always told himself that, but really he just liked the attention and company. Well he was experienced to say the least still having children with Zeteri sort of set his priorities on different levels.

She moved closer and he didn’t think he needed to move back, he held steady though his body was still pretty tense. Until the gentle lick caressed his nose leaving him pretty sure on what he had to do, something he never thought he would do. Mayperhaps he was going to take advantage of her good mood but he couldn’t help it, part of it was a joke but a bit of it was serious too.

”So You like me enough to be your mate then, eh? I wouldn’t mind if I get more of those kisses.” He joked lightly feeling all his tension leaving now that he wasn’t feeling as if his heart was going to be ripped out of his chest. It was entirely up to her if she wanted to take it seriously or not and nor was he sure to be honest. But for those two little fuzzballs he made he figured it was worth being with a harpy, at least she was a very attractive harpy when she wanted to be.
