Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice

Finally, Chenzii started to relax and she leaned into him, burying her face into his pelt. Kalgalath could feel her body tremble and shake as she sobbed silently into his coat. The mottled brute held her strongly, embracing her until her motions ceased and she stopped crying. Then he had gone out and caught her a thick rabbit – it would not save her in her entirety, but it would at least give her a boost of energy. He hardly had to encourage her, for in the next moment she was tearing into the corpse as if she had never eaten a day in her life. Not a single scrap was left when she was done, the bones were stripped clean. Thank you Kal. He merely nodded and smiled. “Of course, Chenzii. You needed it.” Kalgalath continued, speaking encouraging words and Chenzii attempted a smile. It was more effort than he had seen her give since before Chiron had left the first time. One can only hope I suppose. She tiredly sighed before continuing. Anyways…how are you? I’m glad to see that Zig has returned once more to you. Kalgalath sighed this time and saddened. “Has she though?” His words were musing, a dry humor that spoke of something darker.

He rose and turned away from Chenzii, needing a few moments to collect his thoughts. It was something he had been trying to dismiss… something he had tried to avoid talking about, but he knew that he could not deny it in front of Chenzii. Eventually he would have to start facing it, and it might as well be now. “Zig made me promises upon her return… I am sure they were similar to the ones that Chiron made you. She promised me that it had been a mistake to leave and that she had loved me, did love me, would always love me. She promised me she would never forsake me or our daughter or our pack again. And yet… since the pack meeting concluded, she has been absent. Zig has not made her way to her den, and to be honest I am not sure I would allow her in should she come. She has hurt Blayre in her absence too much already, this is just torture now. I called for her and she did not come… I still can trace her scent, but past that… I cannot be certain how long she will stay this time. If she will stay this time.

His cranium turned, electric blues watering for the first time in months… years in front of another varg. “How many times shall our hearts be broken before we shall finally find one we can be at peace with?” A sad smiled fell upon his kissers and he shook his head. “I am not sad to have loved her… but I am indeed sad to say that I cannot say how long I will continue to love her. I cannot allow my daughter to be injured so by Zig’s continued absences… she deserves to grow up with a mother, one who truly cares for her and wishes to raise her. Already she is past her puphood. Already she is growing up… shall she never know a mother’s care?
