WHAT was it about Enderly that made all his daughters refuse to acknowledge his paternity? It was rather frustrating to say the least and it made his lip curl in disgust. Is this what Naamah has been teaching her whilst fooling around with her newly crowned mate? It would be a falsehood to claim that he was no perturbed by such events. Somehow this traitorous thing in his chest, his heart, longed for Naamah but she refused it. Oh she toyed with him and his body thrilled when near her but it was not his. A brief interlude in their tryst was all he had left of her and it left a bitter taste in his mouth. Almost like ash. Enderly had never felt so.. off before. All this from the dark-eyed dark-pelted female that slumbered in the other room. And he could not even have his piece of her before him.
It amuses him only slightly that she is startled by his presence because it is so quickly overshadowed by the fury that grips him at her disdain. He has fed this child along with her sister. Samil has too, no doubt, but where was Naamah in all this? Did she ply the children with such false pretenses to make Samil happy? Was he not content enough to have Naamah that he also had to take away Sanguine?
In his right mind he might smirk and follow the girl back to her mother to set things right but at the moment he does not wish to see Naamah. To hear her for if she lies to the child before him.. well, Enderly has been tender with her for long enough. And the way his heart yearns for her and burns for her rejection it was not a good scenario. So as Sanguine dances off in the most bratty manner he darts in, ears flat, and his jaws grab around the scruff of her neck. His bite is perhaps a mite too strong but he does not loosen his hold as he picks her up and takes off down the cave paths. He has been this way many times; the darkness does not bother his silver eyes and in only a few moments an opening reveals itself.
Out he takes her, squirming in his jaws, and unceremoniously dumps her next to a rumbling creek with a stern look. "You, Sanguine, are my daughter. I don't know what your mother has told you or even Samil," the last name is spat with venom, his mercurial eyes flashing as he postures above her, daring her to disobey him. It is so out of character for him yet it cannot be helped. A sore heart is not easily mended.
"And you will spend time with me and I shall teach you to fish. Understood?" Well. Not the best way to get her to like him, but who knew?
