A pirate flag and
The Lost Islands

A pirate flag and an island girl

And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A pirate flag and an island girl

Crystal blue eyes sweep over the perlino before her, and as she speaks her words are soft. Instantly Cae feels at ease around the perlino mare. As she introduces herself, a smile flows across her pink lips. "It is nice to meet you as well, Sylvia." As Sylvia begins to explain the reasoning behind her trip to the Forest, a light is shed on why Cae had thought this mare had looked so familiar. She is Lyden's older sister... A bit of nervousness begins to grow in the back of her mind, it was quite an honor to be standing here talking with her. She had never expected to meet her especially on this day. "Older sister? I thought that you looked familiar, but I was unsure how, but now I know that you and Lyden have some of the same features." And than Gandy's name comes up, of course. Sylvia would want to speak with the queen of these lands, but Cae had hardly seen the queen over the last few days. Cae assumed she was probably just doing what queenly duties that she could busy herself with.

"Of course, Gandy. Well I have hardly seen the queen for a few days." She could say so much more like how she had been treated, the cold stare, but bites her tongue. Her mother had constantly instilled her with manners, as old fashioned as they were, they still were useful. if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all." As the mare pauses, than she continues, mentioning the trade that Lyden had done with Soljor. Heat begins to crawl up into her cheeks, sometimes she felt embarrassed with the trade. Its consequences still rippling through the Islands, three mares were re-homed because of the deal with Soljor. Cae had heard a few rumors of their unhappiness, but all Cae could do is try her best to shrug it off. "That would be me. It's hard to explain but it's just that... Pausing, she tries again. "It seems as if fate..." She was unsure of how to communicate to Sylvia that Lyden and her were meant to be together. Swallowing hard, she gathers her courage together once again. "Lyden and I, are soulmates."

But just as Cae was beginning to feel embarrassed, Sylvia erased her doubts with her next words. Sensational? Cae had been called many names but sensational had never been one of them. Her smile returns to her lips. "Thank you, Sylvia. I have never been in this position before. On my home Island, I had always been the one that was loved by everyone. But here, it seems as if I have been shunned. Some of the mares have warmed up to the thought of me being here.." Cae did like it here in the Forest, it reminded her of home. Sighing she finds her gaze falling on the sleeping foals, a feeling bubbles up from within her chest...Longing? For what exactly? Cae, was unsure.
