Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Meryl had certainly left in a big hurry though she did not understand why. Nothing had happened as far as she had been aware, or at least nothing outside of the pack. Had he needed to run an errand? He should have known! If he had needed to find herbs or find another wolf, she would have been more than happy to have done so for him. She had been learning, after all, all the names and purposes so she was positive she would not have messed it up. The sudden leaving had been one thing but when he had not returned after several hours? She had fast become worried, situated outside his den like a stoic guardian.

When nobody else seemed worry, she took it upon herself to uncover the secret of his sudden disappearance. Of course, she had faith that he could easily take care of himself but still... it felt uncomfortable to be in the unknowing, and even stranger to simply not be able to see him whenever she pleased. So with that, she had taken her own unexpected leave, following his scent out of the pack lands with her nose to the earth. She bounced along quite happily for some time, though her joy began to wane as she crossed the vast expanse of the fields outside Diveen. She had been moving along the river for some time, and now his scent disappeared over the water, lost in the endless torrent. She whined and huffed in frustration, though she waded through the water nonetheless. If it disappeared in the water then surely it meant he had crossed it. Perhaps, if she were lucky, she could pick it back up once she was on the opposite side of the river. With fall here, she had been smart to leave in the early morning for now the midday sun offered her at least some kindly warmth. When she emerged from the waters half sopping wet, she took some time to tend to herself. His scent wasn't going anywhere, surely.

Still, it had been some time since she had ventured through the Crags and now their rocky fortress rose before her. When she had at least become semi-dried, she began her venture into their depths, cloaked in the shadows that the tallest peaks cast for some time. Her dull claws clicked along the stone as she followed the twisted paths, sniffing at the rocks from time to time with a whine. She had made so many turns without knowing, and the onslaught of scents confused her in those moments. Meryl was gone and now... had she gotten herself lost? Water dripped through the stones, cloaking even her own scent as the summer rains poured out into the rivers and stonebeds. It was a last ditch effort when she finally stopped her roaming, pausing in the light that baked the rocks as she lifted her muzzle to the sky. Her howl spoke of one thing, though perhaps only he would know it: Meryl.
