The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Enderly figures the only reason he sticks around the grotto anymore is to torture himself with the knowledge that Naamah rests between the thick walls of granite and rock with her eternal lover, Samil. It is incredibly frustrating and disappointing to have something for a short period of time and then have it stolen from you - to want something so bad that a bitter taste is left in the mouth from all the grinding teeth and swallowed words. Before all this he had been a glamorous being filled with a chattiness - and flirtatiousness - that managed to make him both charming and suave while lately he had been nothing but moody and intermittently sad. What the hell were these feelings anyways? It was such a strange thing for him to not only have such an attachment but then to feel the sting of a severed one. He wasn't at all certain how to handle it.

The truth was though that despite torturing himself with want for Naamah he had come to accept that she had settled herself in with Samil quite firmly. He was around to watch over his daughter, Sanguine. Not that it seemed to be doing any good. She had claimed her wasn't her father despite such similarities within them both. Even Sarabi had thrown such words in his face leaving him both baffled and furious. What did they want? It wasn't as if he could go marching in to their mothers and become dad and mate of the year. The only one he had even offered a solution such as that too had spurned him in favor of Samil. It shouldn't be surprising though considering Naamah's tendency towards violence and Samil's violent character. Enderly was not much for out-and-out confrontation. It was easier to stir chaos when letting the others do it with whispered words.

What he needed was a distraction. And what happened? He catches a whiff of an old, familiar scent although it is tainted with the stench of Iromar. Ears prick and his silver eyes seem to alight with the inner fire that has been sorely lacking as of late. His lips have already twitched into a sly smile as he pads through the caves towards the sound of pads brushing across the dirt floor.

"Ah, Denali," he breathes her name as he materializes from the dark, silver eyes flashing in the sudden light that halos her figure. "What a pleasure it is to see you again, darling. Although you smell as if you could use a bath. Wrong place for it here, though maybe you are reminiscing. Miss me?" He does not stop his movements until he is uncomfortably close her with his wide grin, remembering how she had tried not to move away last time when he had moved close to her.
