LIVE TO TELL THE TALE

SOLJOR
The days had grown long. Now at the height of summer, Tinuvel felt heat. It was his second summer and Soljor was grateful for the sunlight. He was also grateful the wolf pack had been successfully driven into the Cove. But he had been vigilant - the creatures still poked about. Their own young were growing, at night he could hear the yips. But now the packs calls were getting further from the lands he called home.

However, he felt comfortable. He was grateful for his own. He had family - if the quiet kind. He was glad for the land that was his. He was glad that summer had come and that fall would soon arrive. He’d been here for a year. He’d kept it safe and secure. He’d made mistakes and he had learned.

In short, he was pleased with the year. He trotted down the rough path that he had worn around the valley the herd sheltered in and the Bay in general. The sun was high and warm and it was just a good day to be back.
