At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Roar of the Midnight Train
IP: 184.19.93.186

Morning was creeping in, a pail orange glow burning in the distance, through the thick fog and crisp morning air. The soft early light just barely shone through the trees, lighting up her emerald green pools just right, making them almost transparent in the way they caught the light. Thick feminine robes of charcoal feathered against the shying breeze, large rounded domes perked atop a small skull, catching the fluttering calls of a slow singing song bird. The temperature was perfect, about 55 degrees fahrenheit, not too hot and not too cold. Moni woke up early every morning, a habit from when she was younger and was forced to wake up at the crack of dawn every morning in order to hunt for her younger siblings and sickly parents. Her tiny little brothers and sisters were all as sick as her parents, she was the only one who hadn't contracted the infectious disease that her family all carried. Moni was the miracle baby. Having to hunt for them all gave her time to think, think about ways to get them away from their tiny den and to see the world before they passed. She would spend hours, just thinking of all of the possibilities, when one day, it came to her. A train.

Her mother and father had taken her to watch the late night train rip across the tracks a few times in her early days, and she had always been fascinated by the large machine. Black smog pouring from a large pipe, wheels spinning at unbelievable speed, whistle blowing louder than the screech of the eagles that flew over head. Every now and then she would still hear the roaring of the trains, echoing in her lonely mind. This morning was one of those times. Thin paws carried her to the edge of the lake, covering her aching skull that rung with the sound of the whistle, and the sound of her siblings crying when their parents took their last breaths. It wasn't long after their own crying that they were gone too, souls seemingly floating from their bodies and out the cars of the train. Every night, Moni could find four stars that simmered brighter than every other, reminding her of her long lost family members. Sighing gently, Moni pawed at her brain as it pained her, head ache causing her vision to blur as she rolled around on the ground, whimpering and begging the good lord for mercy.

Her tiny black legs and petite paws rubbed at her temples, eyes and nose tucked under her, buried in the sand as she whined and rubbed her poor little head, the memories burning brighter as the pain got worse. Pictures of her parents and siblings flooded her mind, dancing vividly across her blurred sandy vision.
