A pirate flag and
The Lost Islands

A pirate flag and an island girl

And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A pirate flag and an island girl

The stars sparkled in the midnight sky above, each star twinkled and shone with brightness. As Lyden looked out across the sky, Cae followed his crystal blue gaze. As he spoke of his children she could feel the genuine love that he felt towards his girls, but there was also longing. It must be difficult to know that your children are so close but out of your own arms length. "They sound wonderful. Twins? They must be handfuls." A smile touches her pink lips, at the thought of the twins. She hoped that one day they would return to the Forest to join their father, and maybe than she would meet them.

Cae felt uncertain of why she had asked such personal questions, she knew that their love had been none of her business. She could feel his tension, she knew that she had made him uncomfortable and felt foolish for asking him about a life that she had no business knowing about. Guilt, and shame flushed her cheeks. "I am sorry, for asking such personal questions...For making you feel uncomfortable. One day, perhaps I will learn not to ask such questions. I would blame my lack of experience in life." As he continues speaking, he laughs. Easing the tension momentarily.

Than his next words chase any doubt from her mind, he could love her as well... Lyden, did not know that she had never loved another before. That he was her first love... "We all have lessons to learn." As he continues, his words of comfort wash over her. "I have never been in love. This is the first time that these feelings have welled up in my chest. You are my first love." Turning her delicate head away from his touch, she felt her embarrassment returning. Why was it so hard to talk about personal feelings?

Silence settled between them, the only sound that touched her ears was that of the oceans surf crashing into the sand. It was a beautiful moment. "I am happy that I am here in the Forest. It reminds me of home." She presses her muzzle into his cheek, a sigh escapes her lips.
