Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

it is to judge and to be judged, to dream and to accept

Cersei’s laugh caused me to pull my ears back in a momentarily in a show of embarrassment. But I smiled as well, knowing it was a high goal to set. Certainly it was not impossible, though. After all, if it was impossible, mother wouldn’t be able to step so silently as she did. It would just take a lot of practice. And I was more than willing to dedicate the time to perfect the art. I just…well I didn’t really want to go to mother without at least being able to show her I could sneak away from our brothers. My tail wagged across the ground at her comment. “That would be great, Cersei!” I said, smiling up at my sister. She was older, and so naturally she had been around mother for longer. Perhaps she had picked up on some certain way mother walked that silenced her steps so well that I had not.

I rose with her, ears flicking back and forth and sideways and forward again, my interest piqued. What was my elder sibling up to? My tail continued to wag behind me, finding myself becoming more and more happy at the prospect of getting to spend some quality time with Cersei. Family was so important to me. I valued my brothers’ lives more greatly than my own. So why I had not sought out my sister previously? Well, that was in the past now, and all there was now was today. My brows lifted slightly, gulls? The birds were incredibly elusive, their wings lending them the ability of flight and an easy escape from grounded wolves. I gazed past her, towards the rocks were I knew the gulls alighted. Looking back to Cersei, my smile broadened.

All my life I had spent time among the rocks, balancing on the edges of those low and high, gazing down at the fish in the water or up at the birds in the sky. Never had I fallen; I was quite nimble. But I had never truly gave hunting the gulls any real attempt. The theme for the day would seem to be ‘no time like the present.’ “Sounds good to me,” I said, smiling all the while and moving to follow my sister. My hunting abilities were, well, not the best in the pack. So today it would seem that Cersei would help me hone the skill. Excellent.
