Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The first other soul to arrive is another male of brown and black complexion. His eyes hold a mischief I'm very familiar with as my ears flick toward him in curiosity. He steps up beside me and I manage to keep my hackles smoothed. This is not a time for dominance or testerostone battles. I'm only curious as to what Purge has planned. He greets the female smoothly enough and I can tell he must be quite the charmer with the ladies. He asks the same question I've been wondering but I figure she's going to tell us anyway so why waste my breath? Still, something tells me there's more to this guy than meets the eye. Something dark lurking behind those eyes.

The next to arrive is a strange sort of wolf. I can't tell by the smell if this wolf is male or female but by the way it looks at Purge, I would say it at least believes itself to be male. The look is wholy possessive and I can see the jealous stare it gives to each of us males in turn. How interesting. It is never far from Purge so I'm guessing the feeling is mutual. I never would have thought Purge would be the type to settle with only one partner, especially one who can't seem to decide its own gender. I believe I will just keep thinking of this wolf as an it until I know otherwise. True, it is tough looking and built much like a male but without the scent marker to confirm it, I won't jump to conclusions. I have seen a lot of things in my life time but never anything like this.

It looks between us as if daring us to prove our worth but I dare say we're not the ones with something to prove here. We were called, not the other way around. I think it's about time someone started proving that we didn't waste our time by showing up.

Finally Purge speaks though when she mentions Ailith, I can't help the slight feeling of protectiveness that surges through me as if she's here to protect. I know that Purge doesn't really mean any harm by mentioning her. Purge used to rule Spirane after all when Ailith lived there. I never got to find out if Ailith liked her or not but I don't get the feeling that Purge disliked her. I offer her a nod of acknowledgement and a smirk.

"It does seem like I missed all the fun but I'm here now. How would you use me?"

My eyes are dark and daring. She can make of those words what she wants. I could be used as a weapon or millions of other ways. She replies to the other male before launching into her short speech about our purpose for being here. I listen attentively as she speaks, knowing that she has a lot of bitterness stored up for not being able to rule her own pack but at least she's not giving up completely. I do like the way she talks about monsters. I grin at her use of her own name. Puns, anyone? She grins too as if sharing the thought. I wait a moment, looking around before I turn back to her with mischeveous sky blues.

"So tell me, when does the sun go down?"

Tell us when this darkness shall begin so we can prepare.
