News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

It had been too long- far too long, since Ambrosia had been within the land of the Angels. Since returning to Moladion many moons ago, she had yet to make her way back. Instead, she had wandered the land, visiting each free land in their turn, and even scouting the edges of each pack; even Iromar, with its swampy moors, dangerous footing, and lethal occupants. Even the slightest hint of her alabaster coat through the fog would have meant a certain death for her. If they were able to claim her, that is.

But on this day, the young star-touched angel marked girl was finally returning to the place she was born. At three and a half years old, she was almost full grown, and in that showed her true potential. Her legs were long and thick, giving her more height than the common folk, and her chest and waist were perfectly proportioned to the rest of her, as she was truly grace personified. There was an elegant flare to each step she took, to the way she held her chin up, gazing around with her exotic and wonderful gaze. Violet irises pierced with oranges and emeralds lit up the world around her as she went, curiosity and eagerness bubbling there and never quelling. Since she had been young, Ambrosia had always held true to her sweet namesake; and yet if one did not know her, they would naturally assume she was a strong and perhaps even forceful creature.

If one were to actually look close enough, they would know this not to be true- but that she was indeed more than capable. Unlike some, Ambrosia knew her true strength and what she could achieve- when she had first left Diveen, she had been a young, barely half grown girl full of sadness and sorrow over the fact that she was not like everyone else. She was different, and it had made her feel different. It seemed like ages ago when Mithos had told her of her Fate, of the fact that she was broken and would never find her other half, as she did not have one. But in her time away from her home, away from Moladion entirely, she had learned much about the world and all of its inhabitants. Imprinting was not a common thing elsewhere, and that infact made the wolves of Moladion different than everyone else. And perhaps it did make them more special, and perhaps it did not.

Regardless, Ambrosia still knew each of them had their purpose, their rhyme, their reason. They were all connected to one another, and to the world around them, even if they did not know it or simply did not accept it. With Fall reaching its end, the colours still remained within the foliage, trees, grass- but there was also a certain crisp taste in the air. It was the fresh and icy flavor of snow that her sensitive, dark nose could detect, and there was a certain thrill that came with the upcoming season. Indeed the girl was only three years of age, but this would be her last Winter as a child. For the next one, she would be of age, at four, and she did not know what was held in store for her. Naturally, she was not one to plan or actively figure it out- the snowy girl had always preferred to let things play out as they would, for whatever reason they may.

Today, it seemed, was one of those days. For no sooner had she placed a large paw beyond the borders of Diveen that a voice rang out to all who would heed it. It was her Aunt, the Queen Isola, calling her family and subjects to her, for it seemed this day was a joyous occasion. For what, exactly, Ambrosia did not know, but she knew she could find out. On swift, powerful and paws that were the epitome of graceful, it did not take her long to reach them. And when she saw them, there was a certain smile that crept across her beautiful features, her eyes lighting up and surrendering her to a direct through back to her Grandmother, Zeivah. There was her Aunt, Grandfather and Father- as well as cousins and an Uncle, and a few other wolves she did not know. Most were undoubtedly family, though there were one or two or a few who were not. And then there was Enderly, who was gifted her full blown smile to rest upon him in her welcome.

And of course, the first wolf for Ambrosia to approach was the Queen herself, as it was only polite of her to do so. Bowing her lovely and large skull downward, her charcoal dusted chin thrown in shadow and her speckled muzzle obvious to all, she was short and sweet with her words as she often was, before stepping forward to touch her muzzle against Isola’s own. “My dearest Aunt, I have missed you so.” She spoke in the language of theirs and their ancestors, the words falling so delicately and sweetly past her lips. And after she was satisfied with her greeting, she turned to her Grandfather, and though he was perched up high as he liked to be- she made it a point to reach up to him, more than likely having to get on her hind legs regardless of her height, so that she could touch her nose against his shoulder. It wasn’t typical Angelic greeting, but then Heyel was not your typical Angel, and Ambrosia knew that well. After giving him a knowing smile, at last, the girl turned to her Father. It had been some time, and often Ambrosia wondered what Azrael thought of her, or if he thought of her at all, and perhaps now she would be able to see.

Moving forward toward him, she gave him her full attention, her gaze intent on his own blue. So different they were from hers, and yet so similar to the rest of the children. She offered him no words, and instead, settled for sliding her muzzle along his shoulder and inward, so that she could embrace him in such a way- never before having touched her Father so closely or much without it being the greeting all others gave. And yet this time, her touch lingered, their snowy coats mixing and blending into one, her body giving a subtle sigh at the release in tension. In truth, Ambrosia had not known she had been feeling such, but now, now that she was in the presence of her family, immediate and extended.. she was safe again, she was whole again- she was home again. The young wolf had gone to find herself, and had returned more than close to full grown and whole at last. Mithos had said she was broken, and perhaps she had been- but she was not anymore.

After her moment with Azrael, she pulled away, giving him a genuine and warm smile before turning to seek her brothers. She had to greet them each as well, but instead of the muzzle touch greeting as was custom, Ambrosia kept up with the embrace she had given her sire, gifting it each in turn to her brothers. Mithos was never one for much body contact, but then neither was she. And she would do it anyway, even if there was protest or rebuttal. Guardian, on the other hand, she had not had much time with and so wasn’t sure how he would react. But he was always one of the more mellowed, easy natured ones, much like herself, though of course different. They each were, in their own special way, after all. And last, simply because he knew him unlike the rest of those she had not touched or approached, Ambrosia is turning to Enderly.

He is much the same as when she had first met him, though she herself had undoubtedly changed. Gone was any hint of a child in her face and her features, replaced by a wolf in her prime, almost to her full height and weight. Making her way over to him, she watched those around him interact and observed how they treated one another. The star-dusted wolf was keen to the idea that all should be treated the same, as they were all the same- all part of the same thing, and everything else. Tilting her jaw ever so slightly to the left, she continued watching in her silence before then breaking it, as it seemed the older she got, the more her sweet voice broke the air- this time in the common tongue, for those unfortunate enough not to know the language. “We are all here for the same thing. There is no need for quarrels.” And then, turning to the dark wolf named Enderly, she is giving him another signature smile as she leaned forward to give him the typical greeting, a gentle nudge of her pale muzzle to his own. “Enderly. It’s been a time.” Short, sweet and simple- much like herself, save for the short aspect. And as it were, the girl was more than content to recline upon her steady haunches, her pristine white tail coming to rest about her paws as she watched the others with bright eyes, gauging their reactions and their behaviours, eager and more than pleased to be home again at last.
