Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

It almost appears as if Malikye hates being compliment. Oh, poor lad, then again she rather enjoyed that about him. He was so far different from all the males of her homeland it was shockingly refreshing, minus the entire drinking blood, eating wolf flesh thing. Honestly if she came across him gorging himself on such she might be inclined to snap him out of it - with a literal, violent sort of snap. It was no way to survive and even now with all he has tried to explain, in his strange way of explaining things, she could not fathom such a desire. Such a need. The only need she had was to keep her belly comfortingly swollen with all the fresh meat - aka, not wolves - in Moladion, settle into her new den, and make a name for herself in Iromar. If not a name then to simply become part of the mesh of personalities there, though she almost would rather be separate from that crowd.

"Well if you did, I'd say they should be rather careful so they don't smell too tempting for you. Plus you might want to invite me along, you know, so you don't go all crazy on them." Her lips curl into a smirk, her emerald eyes holding onto his pale ones with amusement in them, deliberately trying to bait him. Probably not the best course of action for one she had deemed insane, but maybe Aithne was not quite on her rocker either. Or maybe she was growing bored with this sedate place, so unlike the home she claimed to hate, yet almost missed all the same. More for the fact it made her feel alive, the struggle of life. Here everything was simple. Easy. And for those who found it difficult she could only choke down a derisive laugh.

She is full aware of the way his body tenses and the flashing of his tainted canines, warning her to not press it. The growl that lifts her ears as she saunters away has Aithne wagging her tail and casting a coy look at him with another flashing grin. By now she feels as though there is a burgeoning friendship between them. Well, as close as one can get with Malikye. It is weird, this sense of camaraderie that she has for him. Maybe this land was really making her lax in all things; the idea is worrisome in a sense. Everything feral and commanding about Aithne is what she holds dear, to let that slip would be unfathomable.

Aithne casts a glance down at the pulled dirt from where his claws ripped through the soil in his frustration. At least it was the ground and not some other wolf he mauled. Maybe if she stalked him like a ghost then he would not have any time to complete one of his crazy spells. Though the idea was tempting at the same time she cringed; she was not a martyr, not here to save those weak souls that wandered alone. That was not her job and certainly Andras would not thank her for such ideas, but the idea still festered.

"An heir you say? That doesn't sound promising." The words are grunted out as she takes a seat and begins to groom herself, dipping her head down to nip at her legs and lick the fur flat, showing an awful lot of trust in Malikye to reveal her neck in such a manner. If he does attack her, she thinks, she hopes Andras gives him a helluva fight in return for murdering his own. "Sounds like war to me. I've not been here long, Malikye, but maybe you could tell me why Andras hates these Diveenians so much?" Now her tone is assertive and also questioning, her eyes looking up to pin him in place.

Malikye smiles. As in a real, honest to god SMILE. Aithne freezes with one paw up in the air as if to rub across the top of her skull and her eyes drop to his mouth in surprise, her ears perking forward. It is a rather cute posture, so strange on her face. She normally can predict what is coming. Not with Malikye. Dropping her large paw down with an audible thump she grins back, about to praise him for such when he interrupts with the last sentence. Her eyes narrow and her grin becomes a stern frown, ears falling back. Then, slowly, they perk up and she assesses him in a manner resembling a scientist with a lab rat. "You know, Malikye... I didn't know you had some humor in there. I'm rather impressed." Those lips twirl upwards once more, thoroughly entertained by the cursed vampire.
