He had not left her side, though she might not have known it. Since finding Gaia again within the pack of Spirane- an apparent captive, at that, Cae had refused to allow her out of his sight. They had reunited before the pale wolf near the edge of the pack, but over the months it seemed his sister was growing more and more comfortable. More and more at home. The boy knew what that meant, and accepted it just as simply. After all, family was everything, and while their Mother and Father and even youngest brother could all handle their own- the crème and chocolate and russet marked wolf worried for his sister. He knew she struggled with her legs and that more than once trouble had found her for it, but it would plague her no longer. For wherever she went, she had her shadow, just as she did from the moment he had been born.

This day started off as any other; Gaia making her rounds and exploring with Cae never too far away. He ached to be beside her and to move openly and freely with her- but, technically, he was just a guest as he was neither invited to the pack nor taken as his sister was. Perhaps they did not want him as well, or they just did not know him- he himself did not know. He had been given permission to stay, but to become a full member? Such had not been offered, though he had already made up his mind. It was when the strong and rather dominant scent of another assaulted his nostrils that Cae knew something was about to happen. Slipping within the shadows, as was his custom, he made a wide arch behind Gaia to see who was trailing her.

Simply because Gaia was Gaia, of course it was the Alpha herself. Cae did not need to be told that- mismatched eyes of teal and warm brown watch her fourm approach his sister. She is magnificent, truly, almost a match for his own Mother, Rhae. But where is Mother is warm, with her chocolate and cinnamon, this wolf is darker, with blacks and various shades. He allowed them their interaction for a time, and with introductions out of the way and Gaia beginning to ramble, he made his appearance. Since he had continued his movement, he was now behind his sister, who he slowly approached while keeping his gaze upon the Alpha. While it was true the Spirane family had been renowned, the young wolf did not personally know Daenerys. He did not trust her, but he was willing to give her a chance.

As typical silence was his way, he remained as such until just beside Gaia- and before taking his seat beside her, he gave her a warm and affectionate greeting of rubbing his muzzle alongside her own, dipping his skull downward to slip beneath hers and back up. After he was satisfied, bright, mismatched irises finally turn to the Queen, considering her and his own words before a soft, hardly spoken but rich voice comes forth. “And I am Cae, my Lady- son of Iblis and Rhae, brother to Gaia and Lucero.” It was not often Cae spoke, and when he did, he said only what he needed to say. And after a brief glance back at his sister, his even gaze is once again meeting Daenerys, his voice slightly firm in his determination. “If you would allow it- I would like to stay with my sister.” It was all he needed in the entire world- to be with Gaia, and all would be well.
