Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

thirteen - no heart - Heyel's soul - Spirane
sister of warlow, dam of none

this is her in blackouts

It was time to take a walk from Spirane to visit her kin in Glorall. Mistletoe and Warlow had been scarce as of late and she wondered if they were intent upon siring more children this season. Probably not considering how overcome Warlow had been in the last year; he had made such a swift change from moody recluse into a doting mate and then father it was no wonder he had been in a tailspin. He hadn't known how to deal with it and honestly it amused and warmed Natu to see him. A faded scar across her maw and lips was the remnant of a time past when he had been her ever present follower yet had disliked her for the simple fact of who she was. How gentle her heart had been at one time. It was funny how time changed things. Now she was tougher, not so nice, and he was head over heels in love with his imprint and mate. Fate had a way with things that was for sure.

Natu wanted to see her nieces and nephew. It had been a while since she had come to play with them, letting their small figures wiggle over her alabaster one, enjoying the simplicity and energy of childhood. So long ago she had once had her own children but they, along with her mate, had perished from this world. It had taken her until two years ago to come to terms with it. To accept it and move forward, but she felt almost as if there would be no happy ending for her. Nothing but this constant struggle with some new development.

Glorall is unchanged in this early winter season except for the sharper winds that roll off the ocean, bitter even against her thick fur. She pads towards the den of her brother and his mate but finds it empty of them and the other two children, but Ravenna is inside out of the cold. She sticks her face into the entrance with a gentle smile, her icy blue eyes looking in at the white, red, and cream girl with fondness. So carefree Ravenna had always seemed, excitable and friendly, and the perfect balm to an unsteady heart.

"Hello my dear niece. Cold already?" Whether that is the reason or not for Ravenna's position, she is happy to see her niece, her tail swishing back and forth.

(Hope this is okay as a starter, trying to get back up and moving!)
