I had a rather interesting few months I must say. I am now my sisters master of law, her advisor, the Justiciar of Spirane, so often I am left to wander the pack see what their needs are or troubles that have arisen and see that they are fixed. Thankfully the pack seems in good shape thanks to my sisters diligent care of our home and the mountain is alive again and better than ever. I am still questioning her choice of Leonidas, especially as the snow falls thick and heavy over the mountain pack. I have been diligent of his actions, we are all adults here I know, yet I will not have him spoiling my sister just for some stupid ‘claim’ over her or something like that. No, I understand he has the same blood I do, that of the dragons, perhaps we are related, but I hear my blood comes from a very vast land, though I forget the name, nor do I really care to remember right now to be honest.

With winter here I know it is my job more so than ever to see to the pack members and their comfort. Of course my younger sisters whom I raise are always first and foremost on my mind now, but I am happy they are home and both of them seem very happy to be home. I don’t know if they truly understood everything that happened but I know for sure that they are happy here. My mahogany and golden tail waves at the thought, I take a deep breath of the mountain air walking down from my den and into the valley were some birds remained as well as prey. Winters are usually very harsh in Spirane, they come in fall and leave mid spring, leaving the mountain capped in snow nearly year round. Spring is a perilous season for us all and that is why most of us have stores of food by the end in each den to make sure if we are snowed in we will not starve.

I know at the time my sisters are well fed and taken care of. I hunt often for them, my large size makes hunting the smaller mountain goats hardly a chore. Winter makes it somewhat more challenging but with such a growing pack it was pretty easy to find someone to hunt with you, and now that the girls were a year old I was starting to take them out to hunt as well. It was good I think, I taught him just how I learned, and I taught myself, so for them I think it’s a lot easier being taught by me than on their own. I refused to let them be alone like I had, I would be there for them always, that was what family did right? I smiled softly going through the snow and finally pausing beneath the trees at the base. Taviora’s border wasn’t far from here, but this was probably one of the best places to hunt for larger game in winter and certainly hares if I could find them. I move about the area the soft call of birds about filling my soul and letting it rest. If nothing came from today at least I could walk amongst my feathered friends and listen to their songs again.
