News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

Sawyer's laugh caught her attention and her green eyes turned to him, noting that he was probably a bit put off by Malikye's crazy demeanor. She had gotten used to it in the short time she had known him. She suspected, though, that Malikye wasn't quite as forgiving and docile with another male as he had been with her. Hell she wasn't sure if he even talked to other wolves outside of Iromar without attempting to rip out their throats. Even the new initiates seemed to spur on his 'curse'. It wasn't like she'd actually let Mal tear open her new recruit. Sawyer was a pleasant fellow for all her intents and she rather enjoyed bantering with him. He was so expressive - it was refreshing, entertaining. Quite the opposite of Malikye's almost constant near-rage or annoyed looks, though she found him interesting just the same. Such a degree of difference between them, a world of change for both in this place, and she was the moderator between them in her mind.

She misses the look of intensity that Sawyer has pinned on her as she is focused on trying to derail Malikye from his impending tantrum, as she thinks of it. Although she doesn't suspect the hint of jealousy that seems to run through the charcoal male, she just assumes he is fighting with his urge to feast on Sawyer's flesh. After all Sawyer is rather tiny compared to Malikye but then again Aithne is bigger and broader than both of them. What give's Malikye an edge is his perpetual snarl and mean disposition; such a personality seems to manifest in physical size. A muted grin graces her muzzle at his compliment, pride making her hackles raise and her body puff out as she stands over the rapidly cooling gator. "Insanity does seem to be my forte," she answers glibly, looking over Malikye's back to catch the ebony eyes of Sawyer as if to say this guy here, he is one I was talking about.

It seems as if Malikye is trying hard to contain himself. There is no tremor in his body but the complete lack of any movement besides the in and out of his breath is alarming just the same. He is quite the opposite of what he ws in their initial meeting, all movement and fangs. Her eyes narrow on him, waiting to see his reaction. And he turns and begins his stalking like walk towards her, his eyes focused on her cut. With each step that he draws closer into her bubble the more her hackles raise, her lips twitch up to reveal her blood-stained teeth and her eyes narrow further and further. With lobes pressed flat against her cranium, Aithne lets a growl loose, warning him that she would snap his neck if he tried anything against her. Despite their seemingly friendly manner Malikye is still a wildcard to her. A demon creature that she does not completely trust, but then again would anyone else trust such a rabid animal implicitly?

The moment he stands breathing over her wound is fraught with tension, her snarls of warning the only sound besides the bated breath of those around her. Then he draws away and her lips falter, her ears slowly arising in wariness. He hadn't attacked her. Hadn't licked her wound. Lucky for him, really, as she intended to rip out the back of his neck if he even tried. That was just weird.

Truly she is startled by the possessive movement of Malikye as he presses his shoulder into hers while staring down Sawyer. Her eyes widen and her body is frozen for a second before her ears slam down once more in annoyance. "Didn't realize I had a boyfriend," she grumbles under her breath, her body shifting towards Malikye subtly to push him away. Closeness isn't really a thing Aithne cares for, especially with a male of her species. The remnant of memory from her last meeting of a male who invaded her space, invaded her, still burns bright in her skull, leaves a lingering taste of fury upon her tongue. She had ripped out his jugular after suffocating him to death, staring into his eyes until they had dimmed into pools of nothingness.

Before she can react to his surprisingly laugh he is stalking towards Sawyer with evil intent. For a moment she almost follows after him, intent on stopping him, but she halts her figure. Sawyer knew what he was getting into when he agreed to come with her. He had shown interest in the vile things she had spoken of, cannibals, so he clearly couldn't be a weakling, unless he was just one of those posers. Just as he hadn't jumped in to help her, she would do the same; besides, he was a male. She expected he might not be too thrilled if she fought his battles for him, so she wouldn't get in the way unless Malikye did blow his top. It seemed the vampire male had a bit more restraint than what she had given him credit for.

As Malikye delivers his threat Aithne growls, her jaw snapping together loudly and tail swishing with an audible sound, her body on full alert. For a moment her belly is forgotten. Wait, what? Malikye was letting Sawyer be? It is so startling; every time she thinks she knows the male, he surprises her. Though he did snap at Sawyer's face. She catches the eye of Malikye now, her own daring ones boring into his own. He is such a specimen to consider. Was he changing or had he always been like this before? So many scientific questions.

He is more in tune with his mind once more because he doesn't invaded her space again. She might not be so lenient this time, and instead watches him settle himself as if blocking her from Sawyer and any other who might come along. It chafes slightly. She doesn't like this sense of ownership she senses upon him. Aithne is incredible willful and independent. She'd let it slide. For now. "I'm sorry, dear, next time I shall be certain to keep tabs on you." The words are a false falsetto, blinking almost lovingly at him before her face turns sour and her eyes flash at him, irritated.

She dips her broad maw back into the gator and rips at one of it's thick legs until the bone snaps and the skin tears and it hangs in her maw. Aithne moves towards Sawyer, her tail flicking out at Malikye's face to further show him her irritation at his masochistic manner, before she drops it at Sawyer's feet. "Eat up. The fat tastes the best. There is an empty den around here that I'll show you too after this as well." Turning back she glares at Malikye before resuming her position, banking her head towards him. "You planning on eating, Mal?" After all, he had helped her kill so it was his right to eat. She didn't wait but began to tear into the fatty tissue of the neck, her eyes closing in brief pleasure as the taste burst across her mouth.

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
