Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

It is a disgusting feeling that haunts Enderly. He is so used to having things his way. So used to the pleasurable feeling of being wanted, of stealing secrets, of playful things, and now he is left with such an aching that it leaves a nasty swirl in his throat. He wants to throw up everything that has attached him to Naamah. Hell, at this moment as he looks upon her with contempt mixed with a longing, he almost wishes he could visit Stella. She'd rip these things right out of him - and probably a lot more with it. Maybe fate was punishing him for all his philandering ways - not that he had actually created pups with any other wolf! - by offering this tasty morsel before him only to yank out of his paws. A true one-upper if ever there was one.

The way she coos to him, the way she berates him for scowling, well, it only makes his scowl deeper and angrier. He flashes his silver eyes at her in anger as he paces away. How dare she mock him. His anger is well placed, well thought out. And all she can think to do is try to assuage him by removing his scowl. It wasn't going to work, he tells himself, trying not to look at her softer visage. Naamah is beautiful to him, there is no denying that.

It infuriates him the way she glues to him but at least she doesn't lie. Enderly is quite adept at lies and he would know if she did. It was clear anyways by the way Sanguine challenged him. Oh well, he didn't need the girl. She could follow her parents blindly and when she realized the truth who knew what she would do? Would she be furious at her mother, at Samil? Enderly did try and tell her. She couldn't very well be mad at him. There was no point in beating a dead horse so to speak.

He barks a wry laugh at her words. Maybe he is being a little harsh when Sanguine was just a pup after all, but he wondered if she was half as clever as she should be. "And who is to worry about my temperament?" He growls the words, his ears flicking towards her as she moves with him. God, how did she do this? Just hearing her voice soothes the way his stomach rumbles and his head aches. He just wanted to grab her by the neck and shake sense into her but he also wanted to roll on the ground with her, to elicit a sigh of pleasure from her, to remember that time a winter ago.. minus the pups.

"Does he make you happy?" Enderly comes to an abrupt halt, his ears back and his face angled towards hers. His voice is firm, rough. "He will lead you to ruin, Naamah. His plans are foolish." He takes a step closer to her, impressing the idea upon her. "What will you do then?"

enderly.
