Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Time did not exist. There was no beginning and no end. There was only Rhae. The warrior stood before his queen with is head held high and his heart thundering in his chest. She was his life, his soul, his reason for being. Such was the bond the two shared. Even though he had warned her of the danger they may be in from other loners who had taken offense to his crimes she did not falter nor did she look afraid. Her ocean blue gaze did not leave his and for a moment the pair simply stood where they were, in bliss. But all good things must come to an end and when Rhae finally broke eye contact for a moment to sigh deeply Iblis knew something was on her mind. He did not say anything. Nothing needed to be said. The trust he had for her knew no bounds and when she wanted to tell him something he would listen. The small wolf didn't feel the need to ask about her past as, more often than not, it was too painful for someone to remember. Not all wolves had a simple life like him before coming to Moladion. They didn't all end in the same boring way of "young wolf leaves home to start a pack of his own". Perhaps he didn't have a pack but that doesn't mean he hasn't started a life for himself. Started a family with the wolfess of his dreams.

She spoke of her home land far to the north, a land of cold and death. A place where Iblis would never have made it if he hadn't been born in the complete opposite direction. His ears turned to her as she mentioned her parents, those beautiful orbs falling back on his frame, and how they were killed by a fellow pack mate. The warrior couldn't hide the look of hate he felt for wolves who killed without a purpose. A small growl rumbled in his chest but he continued to listen to his imprint. Had that been the reason she had left? Iblis moved forward and licked her muzzle and cheek in a gesture of comfort. Such pain she must have been in and he had not been there to help her. He knew he would make it up to her. She would never be alone. Always watched over and protected. At least, when it wasn't he who caused all the danger that surrounded her.

Again, there was no hint of fear or anger in her voice. Perhaps a bit of worry but only because she loved him and wanted him safe. Strange how he didn't seem to share the same feelings. When she had left he had reverted so easily back to his old ways. He hadn't been safe. Even now he could feel the many bite wounds as they scabbed over and started to heal from his last attack. With a sigh he sat down before his mate and imprint and avoided her gaze. "When you left I had nothing. Not even our children have stayed. So I went back to the way I lived life before I met you. A fighter. I found more of those monsters, the ones who feast upon wolf flesh, and I attacked them. I killed them. Only a few weeks ago I fended off two of the brutes when I discovered them eating the remains of an elder. One was killed, the other fled into the night. I was too wounded and tired to follow. Who knows where he went. Maybe to a distant pack that is now bent on finding me. Maybe he is out there right now, watching, waiting to strike. I have placed you in danger yet again just like before when war ravaged the land. I am sorry, Rhae. How you must grow tired of a warrior who can't protect his queen."
