Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The small whine has Ambrosia turning her attention to the girl beneath her- she was indeed a beautiful little creature who would grow up to be something truly remarkable. Such youth was still in her face and her rainbow gaze, turned up toward the stardusted angel, that a smile could not be helped across Ambrosia’s exquisite features. It was just the effect the young one seemed to have on her, and she was once again glad it had been Paravana out of all the young ones. It wasn’t to say she played favourites, as she would enjoy getting to learn the new children of Diveen one by one as she liked to, but things simply felt.. smoother, simply because it was this particular child.

But the question the girl has- it has Ambrosia tilting her head and shaking her skull lightly, just before leaning down to gently nudge Paravana’s bottom jaw with the top of her own. “Mother is not going anywhere, my dearest. She will be just where we left her when we return.” Her expression is one of pure reassurance, and even more so when an idea lights up her violet gaze and falls past her pristine lips. “In fact, how about when we find you a dead thing, we bring it back to her, mmn?” The angel girl remembered vividly how just a few years ago she herself had been so eager to bring her first hare back to her Father. He had taken them to a rabbit warren to clear the area, and her starburst of a brother and herself were the only two to really.. do anything. From a young age, she had always enjoyed hunting, and found that with her frame nearly full grown she was rather exceptional at it.

While she was confident in herself, the pale girl was nowhere near full of herself or arrogant. It went well to keep a level head at all times, no matter the circumstance, and Ambrosia had learned that rather well since birth. Through her words, the young Paravana had slipped almost beneath her very feet, but she made sure to keep from stepping on any part of her. Young creatures were always moving about, to and fro it seemed more often than adults. Ambrosia herself did not remember moving so much, but then again she had never considered herself in such a light. She thought about things very differently than most, and it seemed that the girl beneath her was very similar to just that. Paravana moved a lot, but she spoke wise words for one so young.

Wise words that were curious and spoke something to the pale female that perhaps only she could understand. The young earth and star toned female showed that she had considered all things just that- all things. It was also due to the fact she had never been outside Diveen, but her last statement had Ambrosia nodding her large skull. “Yes, little one, it is all land. And our home, Diveen, is only a very small part of that. There is so much out there to explore.” The almost fully grown female spoke from own personal experience, not from stories passed down from one generation to another. Granted there were those stories- but she also had some of her own, and would share them when the time came, but today was the day for learning.

Leaning her skull down again so that she might nudge Paravana with her own muzzle in encouragement, with a grin across her features, she was sure she could help guide and teach and show. Patience was a virtue, and Ambrosia had more than enough of it to go around. But first, she has to figure how it might be the best way for young Paravana to learn. “All around Diveen there is what’s called a border- it tells us and other lone or other pack wolves that that is where the territory, or the space, of our home is. It is mostly marked and up kept by your Grandmother and Grandfather- my Aunt and Uncle.” It is a lot of information, and Ambrosia is curious to how her cousin will take it all in. In one ear, or out the other? Or if her mind more akin to a sponge, able to soak up information in a moments notice? All wolves, all beings were different in their own right. All it took was figuring out who was how, and what was where.
