He thought he would explore the islands.

The lagoon and the crossing had provided little entertainment and in a bid to break up the monotony of his day, the predator has stalked into the ocean. He did not plan where to go, instead letting the tide carry him to the nearest shore. He emerged on a narrow stretch of sandy beach that quickly gave way to towering conifers. He rather liked the look of the shadows that lured him back to their familiar embrace. He could stalk through the woodlands for days, enjoying the solitude and emulating his canine brothers.

There were interesting things in the forest.

As he moved through the trees at an easy pace, following the damp scent and trickling sound of a burn, his golden eyes caught sight of a dun figure up ahead. For now, she stood by the water, seemingly wrapped up in her own thoughts. A sly smile tugged at the corner of his lips and his nostrils flared, sucking in the nearby scents; if he was quick and she remained quiet, he might just manage to herd her back to the ocean and into the lagoon.

Interesting things are in short supply

Though he took the time to remain quiet and stealthy, the landscape did not comply to his needs. Fallen leaves scattered the ground and his ears flicked back as a hoof skimmed over a rustling leaf. Shit. That was a mistake he hadn’t banked on making. His golden eyes observed as her head snapped upwards; no use in trying to be quiet now.

Perhaps the forest is about to become a little less interesting.

Rapidly closing the distance between them, his ears still pinned, he arced around her side to push her back the way he came. He did not say anything, but merely snapprf at the air beside her, seeking to drive her forwards. His intent was clear, she would be his….at least until he was bored of her.
