Mommy was sad, or well, pissed off. She told me the story of how daddy had talked her into returning here, and yet, when she showed up with me in tow, he was no where to be found and now we were homeless. I felt saddened by the fact that I didn’t know my daddy. It was obvious he didn’t want us. We stayed in the falls for most of the time, after all, having no home meant we moved around a lot. Mainly from the meadows to the falls, but sometimes we would venture close to herd lands, not in the borders of the territories but not quite far away either. We were never spotted however. But seeing those families together made me so sad, so heartbroken to see them so happy together and dang it, I wanted to be in a family like that. But momma was so stubborn, so harsh that it was hard to picture her finding someone who would be like a daddy to me. Oh well, right? "Speech here" I wandered all alone on this wonderful autumn day. The leaves fell around me, scattering, flittering, fluttering down and cascading over me when I stopped beneath a shedding tree. It was a beautiful season, watching the leaves turn from a bright, vivid green, dulling to a brown, but brightening back to reds, pinks, oranges. Oh, everything was just magnificent, it was hard to believe that this was where I spent most of my time. I saw a large pile of leaves that had been growing, and well, I just couldn’t help it. I jumped, my leggy frame jumped in the air, launching myself at the large pile, giggling like a crazy girl when the leaves scattered up into the air, flying around like crazy. I began to spin in circles, my nose down in the leaves, tossing the pile everywhere around me. Yes, I was being a child and having fun. So sue me!
