At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

As soon as the obsidian brute began speaking, his tone growing more prominent and showing off the rough edges conceal beneath his smooth and welcoming tone, Kenna believed she had crossed some line with the boy. She was taken aback by his hostile tone, which moments before had been so soft and comforting. Her ears flicked quickly down to rest against her skull, head tilted with an undying curiosity as she listened to the edgy vocals that filled the air. Still, he was the same Sebastian, and he would always have the girl's unwavering attention. Kenna kept quiet, however, even long after the great beast finished speaking.

It wasn't until Sebastian's music hit her flattened auds again that Kenna turned her gaze away from the lake in which it had wandered. She perked her towers high when the ebony demon began to explain his place in the pack. He seemed so ashamed of it. Kenna cocked her crown to the side once again, blinking her wide blue eyes. Even if his rank was low, being an omega was far better than a loner who struggled to even find a place to sleep at night. And though Kenna never let that get her down, sometimes she wished she had taken up the offer of joining a pack. Still.. Her thoughts fluttered back to the brute's former words. Soldier, spy, assassin.. The young ess wasn't sure if she would be capable of any of those things. It had been so long since she had even experienced pack life, so having to prove her worth seemed to her to be rather frightening, though it was a challenge she was willing to take on.

What if she was rejected?

She shook her head gently, clearing the awful thoughts from her mind. The queen knew that she did not have to rush into anything. The decision rested only with her. She turned her full attention back to the lad next to her, leaning in to nuzzle her nose gently against Sebastian's shoulder at his final question, a gentle smile curled over his lips. "You're new," she whispered, her soft vocals greeting the air for the first time in at least ten minutes. "Omega is a rank given to those who are new. It doesn't make you less of a pack member.. It just shows that you need more time to level up within the pack, right? I do not think it is anything to be ashamed of, Sebastian." Her words remained hushed, tentative, as if she was scared to step over that same invisible boundary and set off something else inside of the obsidian beast.

"I-I'm sorry. I don't know much about how packs work. I was only a pup when I lived with mine. Pups did not have ranks there, but my mum was an omega as well. And now I live by myself, so forgive me if I do not know everything," she rambled on, a light blush rising to her cheeks just beneath her russet fur, soft blue hues directed down to her ebony paws, crossing and uncrossing them in a slightly nervous gesture. She hated feeling so brainless. After all, wasn't a pack instinct supposed to come naturally to a wolf? She huffed out a soft breath, blinking before looking up at Sebastian once again. "But thank you, Sebastian. I think you've told me all you can. I'll just have to consider it a little longer." She finished, giving the larger lupine a little smile before looking out across the great lake once more.
