PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

MAY THE FIRST BITE YOU IN THE BACK

Geirdriful was determined to see all her goals through to the end. Once she set her mind to something, there was nothing she could not do. Though her young legs had protested, pushed almost beyond the limits of her muscles and stamina, she pushed down all thoughts of fatigue or failure. She would make it to the top of the peak, and return before her mother got suspicious and came looking for her.

Skögul would not actually mind that the girl had ventured up the peak alone, nor even if she spent a night with the Vulcan mares but Geirdriful did not know that. She had not wished to ask in case she did not get the answer she had hoped for. Anyway, a warrior did not ask for permission; they did what they wanted.

As the dunalino caught her breath, a voice startled her from her left side. Her head snapped up quickly, blue eyes resting on the shiny black mare with a sense of awe; was this a Vulcan sister? While she is embarrassed that she had not noticed the woman from the start, she does her best not to let it show. A warrior should always be alert; nothing should surprise her.

Abandoning her embarrassment entirely, she frowned at the mares words. ”I……I was hopin’ a find a band of warrior mares who live on 'is peak. Are you one of ‘em?” The mare looked like she was, but the girl could never be too sure. ”You look like one” she thought out loud, ”I’m Geirdriful, a valkyrja. Ma says I’m des’ined a be a figh’er for a cause some day. I guess I wan’ed a see if 'is would be a cause I would sand for.” Though she was rough around the edges, she knew what she wanted.
