At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Men shouldKeep their word

Grey Wind

Anger and madness fueled the brute rather than thinking calmly and clearly like he usually did. He did not know why he took the foreign scent upon the female’s pelt so personally, as if she had betrayed him, when really it was the whole pack she was betraying. What could she possibly need from another pack that she could not get from Abendrot? Was it a family member she was visiting, a friend, a secret lover? Aerten could find all of that and more within the packlands of Abendrot. Her pack should be her family and she should not have ties with others in enemy packs, and frankly any pack that was not Abendrot was considered an enemy pack in Grey Wind’s mind. Besides the brute had left his family and had not sought them out since he had joined the pack, nor would he. And if she needed a friend why would she not turn to her packmates? Why go out and search for another being within another pack, surely they could not be trusted more than one of Abendrot’s fine specimens. And as for the last option that crossed his mind, if she needed a lover he would be more than happy to oblique the pretty femme. The lusty young male was not ignorant to the thoughts that powerful and pretty females caused.

And so with these thoughts of betrayal and anger in his mind he snarled and lunged at the female, leaving caution and reason to the wind. Grey Wind’s large muscular form hit the slightly smaller femme’s bodice, causing her to crash to the ground. Powerful limbs pushed onto her shoulders, his claws digging into her as another fierce growl escaped his maw, daggers clicking as he snapped at the air inches from her face. Her amber orbs met his yellow ones, both pairs alight with fury as she spoke, “Jealous are we?” Jealous? What could he be jealous of? Jealous that she had spent time with wolves of another pack or jealous that she had spent time with other wolves? Regardless he was jealous, but more than jealous that she had been with another pack’s wolf he was angry and confused. Her own sharp daggers made an appearance and before Grey Wind could answer Aerten’s words her ivories connected with his chest. Pain brought him back from his madness. As her teeth sunk in and broke the skin, causing blood to well up and flow from him, he seemed to realize what he was doing and who he was doing it to. Why had he just attacked her? She could have a perfectly good reason for having the scent of SawTooth on her. She could have been sent there, as Marx had sent Grey Wind to Bright Moon. And what had the stupid brute done, gone and lunged at her, wanting to hurt her and make her bleed as she had made him bleed. As more coherent thoughts began to muddle in his head the femme’s back limbs pushed against his abdomen, sending more pain to his body, though not as much as her teeth had brought.

Aerten’s ivories dug deep into him as she let another growl out and his now focused orbs looked down upon her, an unconscious growl, though this one more from pain than anger, escaped his throat. Still the brute did not move, did not speak, just stared down at the femme that was under his paws. A purr like growl came out of her throat and that confused him more than anything else. It was not an aggressive sound she had been making before, as he would expect, but was something else. A sound that stirred something deep in his loins, a sound that caused a new kind of longing towards the russet female. Now that he was temporarily out of his madness he was not thinking about hurting her but was thinking of doing other things to her. And with those types of thoughts running through his head, just from one damn noise she had made, he leapt off of her, confused by what he was suddenly thinking. Another growl came out of Grey Wind’s throat as he pulled away from her, her teeth pulling through his flesh as he ripped away from her fangs that had had their hold onto his flesh. The grey titan kept his eyes on her, watching to see if she would now lunge at him, and honestly who could blame her if that’s what she did after the way that he had acted. With his senses on high alert he circled around, fur still stiffly raised, yellow orbs glaring, anger coming back to him despite his thoughts of lust. And with that anger he spoke, ”So, care to explain why you stink of another pack?” He spit the words out at her, his anger boiling over again and he fought the urge to once again lunge at her form.

"Fight back,"He snarled.
