At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Now My Watch Begins; It Shall Not End Until My Death

The white brujo sat in silence by the lake, continuing to silently debate within himself if he was going to stay and go for a quick swim or head back into the trees. But head back for what? He had nothing going for him anymore, nothing at all. He had lost everything that he had ever cared about and at this point could care less what happened to him. At some times he thought of just lying down and never getting up again. Because really what was the point of it anymore? His closest brother was gone, dead for all he knew, his younger brothers had been left as well and with how young they were they were surely dead. One of his sisters hated him and the other had been forced to leave him. He missed Nymeria greatly, thinking about her and Grey Wind often. The only two that had been kind to him, the only two that ever really seemed to care. Well besides his father, but his father was a king and forced to be nice to him. And then his thoughts turned to the utter depression he felt whenever his family crossed his mind. And did he really have the right to call them family? As his siblings’ mother always pointed out he was a bastard, as if a bastard was the worst thing one could be in this world. As if there were no murders and torturers as he knew existed. A growl escaped the brute’s maw as he thought angry and sad thoughts of his lost family. He pawed unconsciously at the ground in his frustration before he realized what he was doing and stopped at once.

Ghost’s thoughts were distracted though when he saw another lupine burst, quite dramatically, from the trees. The multi-hued femme’s coat was a mess, fur spiked up from dirt and leaves, as if she had run aimlessly through the woods. And perhaps she had, the brute had no idea and nor did he care to be honest. He was surprised though that when she came out and hunkered over to the water in a seemingly embarrassed way to find that he was smiling. The unknown ess reminded him of his teen sister Nymeria who was so often dirty and scruffy looking as she had always wanted to play and fight with the boys rather than sit around and gossip with the females. In the pack that they had grown up in the ladies were expected to be just that, ladies. To not be dirty and messy. To not participate in hunts and fights. To stay home and look pretty and take care of the pups. And Nymeria had been the opposite of that. Ghost would sneak out with the young female and teach her how to fight like the boys, practice with her so he knew she would be capable of defending herself if anything were ever to happen to her. And he was very glad he had done so, hoping that their practice sessions together may have saved her from a terrible fate. Once Ghost caught himself smiling he scowled and frowned, brows creasing together in an annoyed look. As if he should not be smiling, as if it was a crime.

His chocolate brown orbs watched as the female flung herself into the water to clean the dirt off of her pelt and then with a surprised look she came and sat beside the white brute. He looked at her, brow raised in confusion. Was she perhaps mistaking him for someone else, thinking she knew him and that he was a friend? Well he was not interested in her one bit so he turned his head and ignored her, hoping she would get the picture and walk away once she realized that she did not indeed know him. But she did not leave, in fact the dappled femme did the opposite of leave. She sighed heavily and shuffled closer to him, her wet and dripping pelt not far from his dry one. And then she sighed again, even louder this time and shook out her pelt, spraying the brute with water. An annoyed growl escaped him as he finally looked at her, brown orbs glaring at her. Did she have no manners at all? And then the brute was surprised to hear her speak, ”Urgh, you could cheer up a bit. Do you know how ugly you look sitting with a face on you like that?” Her bold words shocked him and a quizzical look came over him. ”And how would you spraying me with water cheer me up?” the brute retorted back, ignoring the jab that she made at his appearance. He did not care what she thought of his looks, he knew that he was an attractive male. When he had been with his old pack he had more than a few females trying to become his mate, he was just not interested in any of them. He stared at the girl, wondering what it was she was trying to gain from talking to his ‘ugly face’.
