Pain throbbed through his chest. That bitch, he thought to himself. Okay, sure he had started it but really it was her fault. What did she expect him to do when she stank like some other pack. And did she really need to bite him? He hadn’t hurt her, yet she had sunk her teeth in, leaving a bruising mark on his clavicle. The russet female had betrayed the pack by visiting the enemy pack, no matter what her reasoning, in Grey Wind’s mind. She had explained that she had been visiting a friend, but how could she have a friend in another pack? Was Abendrot’s fine specimens not enough for her? Clearly they were not. And the brute had been stupid enough to think that they might have even been friends, in their own way. He was not sure if the wolves that resided within Abendrot ever really made friends, or if there were just lupines that they could tolerate more than others. So why did he feel so betrayed that she had gone to find the company of another pack? He was stupid, completely idiotic for thinking that another lupine would want to be around him. The grey titan growled to himself as he wandered alone through his home, snapping at the twigs of trees that were close by, wanting to take his anger out on something. To make something hurt the way that he hurt.
Grey Wind’s paws carried him aimlessly through the trees. Why was he so caught up on this stupid female? He was a young, handsome brute and he had had plenty of females from the pack he had been born into that wanted to be with him, that begged to let them be his mate, but none of them had even interested him slightly. So why was this particular feisty russet girl getting to him? A stronger snarl escaped his maw as he forced his mind to think of other things, anything besides the lusty thoughts that were beginning to make their way into his head. So the brute’s mind wandered to Kershov, his alpha, his king. The only lupine he would ever follow and pledge his loyalty to. Something was bothering his leader and he had no idea what it was, but he was willingly to do anything help him. Grey Wind knew that his king did not need help though, that he could handle anything on his own, but he wanted to be with the white czar, wanted to do anything that he could for him. Kershov had recently summoned Grey Wind, to see how his mission with Bright Moon had gone. But when the grey brute met with his king he knew that something was not quite right with him, but it was not his place to question his leader. If there was anything he wanted to share with him then Ker would share it. Grey Wind had learned that asking questions could lead to trouble and to the interrogator getting oneself hurt. He did not want to anger Ker with his questions, the brute had decided to never be on the wrong side of Kershov’s rage when he met the intimidating and powerful lupine.
Thinking of Kershov seemed to ground the lupine, get his head back in a clear way. And so with a shake of his massive head he decided to do a border patrol, check on the lands he had pledged to protect. With the slightest of limps the brujo stalked with a purpose through the trees. As Grey Wind was walking the scent of another lupine reached his nares. Abendrot’s scent was clearly on their pelt so he knew they were a pack member, but he did not recognize this particular wolf’s scent. So, a pack member he did not know, perhaps he should introduce himself. Grey Wind was not always social, but he needed to do something to distract himself from the madness that was always threatening to spill over. As the titan approached he saw the grey form of a brute that he had never met before. The yellow orbs peered through the trees to see the other male snarl at the air, showing his sharp daggers. So, something was bothering this lupine as well. Were there any sane lupines that lived within Abendrot’s trees? It appeared not, that one had to possess some sort of madness and insanity in order to survive here. And so Grey Wind pushed his form out of the trees, approaching the stranger. ”Why hello. I do not believe we have met before. My name is Grey Wind. May I inquire about yours?” He spoke politely, much more politely than he would speak to most strangers, but he was indeed a packmate and thus Grey Wind already respected him more than most. One must be quite impressive to enter the lands here without being torn to bits by Ker or Scarlet Nights.
"Fight back,"He snarled.
