Since leaving the life of a loner, things had been quiet. It was an unusual thing, to be so relaxed in so many ways and able to let thoughts wander. While it was true Cae and his sister had been born within a pack- Iromar as it was- and had spent a bit of time in Taviora, pack life was still entirely new. Most often he was with Gaia, wandering the mountain with her, learning, observing, watching. He was as her silent guardian; he would always be there when she needed him, and he would not let her be alone ever again.

Pale paws fall against stone and rock slowly, their owner particular about his footing and movements. The boy had yet to grow accustomed to life on the mountain, the terrain and earth being quite different than the blanketed forest he had known before. All in time things would adjust accordingly, and they would be right again. Perhaps even Iblis and Rhae would come find them here, and would place themselves allies of the pack. They were friends with Taviora and Diveen, after all, so why not Spirane? It was only the most logical option. But today would not be a day for visits, for when a call rang throughout the valley Cae found his movement stopping.

It had been a call for all pack members, and, seeing as he was already headed in the same general direction he might as well make use out of it. He did not know a single soul in the land, beside Gaia, Lady Daenerys, and the white wolf Natu. Pack life meant social life, and the pale boy would do well to grow accustomed to such things. It did not take the boy long to find them, a grand total of four other wolves, two of which he knew. There was the Lady, and there was Natu- then there were two males he did not know. One was about his height and golden in colour, and the other his Mother’s height and russet all over. They all seemed to know one another, but Cae was slow in his approach, keeping his skull and tail lower to the ground.

The boy wasn’t submissive by nature, but he was respectful, and intelligent. Coming to a stop a few feet away from the others, he took a seat where he was to wait. Wait for what exactly, he wasn’t sure. To be spoken to, for Gaia, for anything at all. Whatever it was, it would come when it would, and the boy had no qualms against that. Mismatched eyes of bright teal and warm mahogany watch the others, and if one were to acknowledge him or make eye contact, he would give a nod and wait his turn to speak, if permitted.
