It had been weeks since she had seen Felony's face. Months since their little tryst that resulted in her getting pregnant. It seemed as if one day, the bay stallion had just up and left, leaving practically no trace behind. No clues to where he could have gone or why he even left in the first place. Zhenya snorted at the thought. How dare he abandon her like that?! She was pregnant and she relied on him for protection. Not that she couldn't protect herself... but she liked the added benefit of having someone else there just in case. Mostly, she is incredibly angry and upset. Felony had left her behind and now she felt used and useless. Like a piece of trash, or a plaything, something insignificant and disposable.

She had waited, for a little while, but he hadn't come back, and she soon realized he wasn't going to. So she left the Lagoon, left behind her old life and the memories of Felony. As far as she was concerned, she no longer belonged to the Lagoon. She was free to do as she pleased. She didn't want to go back to being a wanderer, and she often thought back on her conversations with Impazienza. Why not give the Peak a try? Impa was welcoming enough, and she knew she would be safe from any harm that might come to her. Plus, it would be a good place to birth her son or daughter. So with little hesitation, she crossed from her old home to her new one, not even bothering to look back or give it a second thought.

The Peak loomed above her, all imposing-like. Zhenya eyed it warily, unsure if she should try to ascend it or not. She had never been on a mountain before, and with her belly getting bigger and bigger, she felt less and less surefooted. With a heavy sigh, she decides to linger at the base and hope that someone comes to her soon enough and help her up the mountain. God, she hated feeling so weak and dependent, but she knew she couldn't risk her safety and the safety of her unborn child. Not that she particularly cared about the annoying little parasite inside her, but because... well, because.
