Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Question 1: Where did they build Hadrian’s Wall?

I continued to fuss over my reeds, moving to dip my muzzle into the river once more, dragging free another set of weed and reed to place at my paws, taking a moment to stretch each out before me upon a small and heated stone in some effort to dry it. Although really in the depths of winter why I bothered with such a thing I hardly know. They would be better hanging from the rocky ledges of my den, dried properly come the spring or at least left to catch the breeze before they would be of any use in any of my newest concoctions. Don’t get me wrong- what Meryl teaches is certainly useful, my mind simply cannot get enough of his lessons for I have a desire to know of every modern healing design, of every salve and leaf and bark and liquid and what it will do, good or bad and yet I have a desire I suppose….to test, to experiment a little, to discover what has not yet been discovered in the world of plants and herbs. It is powerful, I am sure, despite what sister Phaedra may think. There is power in nature, in the elements- I simply need to…unlock it. Maybe it was merely chance that I should meet the embodiment of fire this day, when it is the very elements I consider and yet- maybe it wasn’t fate or chance at all, maybe it just happened, how the hell should I know? I was comfortable enough in her presence, didn’t fear her, not really, why should I? She didn’t appear angry or aggressive or anything like that and if she wanted to sit beside me- well, so be it, I was happy enough, my own posture held a little higher perhaps and yet, I was a Prince, I was used to it- I hardly meant any disrespect and it was fortunate I suppose- that she took none.

“Where did you come from then?”

I’d never really considered lands beyond Moladion, the violet and orange fire of my gaze widening slightly at that which she proposed, that other lands, perhaps, existed. Maybe I will ask grandfather about that, these other lands, these other places. Are Angels there? Have we conquered that far? I was almost given to forget the wolf beside me, one paw fiddling with the reeds as I stretched each of them out in turn, continuing to order them while offering the fire-touched female my attention all the same. She really did look a lot like Mithos. Although I don’t think Uncle Azrael and Andromeda had really tried to make fire when they had my cousin, I think maybe they were trying to get the white puppies everyone in Diveen seems to adore. I was white….sort of, a bit…that was something. I shrugged slightly at her words, offering her a rather dashing grin all the same as I sat beside her, when it came to parents and their wants I suppose I have some understanding. After all, I do come from a rather needy bloodline.

“Parents always do strange things, why would they want you to look like fire though? What good is fire? It burns, it rages, it destroys. It does cense though, fire is the only element that brings both death and life. That’s something I suppose.”

I lifted the violet of my gaze to her own a moment. She did have nice fur I suppose, maybe her parents just wanted her to be pretty, although if she had never met anyone who looked like her maybe they had just wanted her to be unique in the lands from which she came. I moved to adjust myself, attempting to look at least marginally princely as I looped my thick ashen tail about my paws, sitting up straight and tall in all my handsome glory- well….I was still a bit puppy-ish I suppose but I would be handsome, beyond handsome actually, my bloodline made sure of it.

“We don’t call it born of fire here, we call your colour an Angel Mark, it means you are royalty- or descended from it. I am from Diveen, you should drop by one day, you don’t have to join or anything, but you might be able to meet Mithos, that’s my cousin who looks like you.”

That’s easy;
around Hadrian’s Garden.
