DEATH FOR MY BIRTHDAY

I WANT DEATH; DEATH FOR MY BIRTHDAY

Rhaego's childhood had been so full of being overlooked that he never would have dreamed of trying to hide. He spent every day of his life from birth trying to make his mother notice him, trying to gain some sort of favor in her eyes. He had never really succeeded in his attempts and so when he been able to he had left, never bothering to look back. It was probably the best decision the buckskin stallion had ever made. Now he got his chance to have his own home; his own family.

It was good to see Leopard smile, even if it was only briefly. From the moment he had met the mare he had wanted to see her smile. Not just any smile though, he wanted to be the reason behind that smile. It looked as if he was getting closer to his goal. She seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, her eyes getting that far away look as he glanced over at her. A slight bolt of anxiety ran through the male, wondering if she was maybe doubting her decision to come with him now. However, as she speaks he is calmed by her words, offering up another small smile.

"Of course, I wouldn't want a home without you." he said, without even really thinking of his words. As soon as they slipped past his lips he seemed to get a bit confused, shaking his gold and black head just slightly. "Because, you know, then I would be here all alone." Yeah, sure, that made it sound better. Rhaego wasn't even going to try and talk around that, it was better to just leave it there.

He was about to come up with an excuse to leave to avoid the awkwardness of the whole situation when Leopard spoke up again. The stallion couldn't help but grin at her words, nodding his head in agreement. "You are a great force indeed, Leopard." he offered up a small chuckle before turning his attention towards the ocean before them. "I have a feeling you are going to help me turn this place into a glorious home." It was the truth. Leopard was not a submissive mare from what he had seen. She was not scared nor was she easily dettered. He liked that. He could see a great partnership in that.

"Now tell me, Leopard, what is your story?" Perhaps he was treading dangerous waters here, maybe she would just turn and leave him at the question but he had to ask. He wanted to know everything he could about his golden mare.
