Never before had Natu been haunted by the knowledge of a split soul. This place was certainly different, filled with an unknown magical quality, yet she does not begrudge the wolves who have found their other half and fallen into a state of bliss. Her own brother had found his soulmate in Mistletoe as well as his love. It was a redemption of his savage nature and as much as she found happiness for them there also lurked the smallest shred of jealousy. After all she had lived her life with kindness and persistence that should have been rewarded with blessings but instead was met with misfortune and ill-fated problems. Fate does not play fair, and she had learned that perhaps she should not either.

Winter did bring about a certain desire to begin new life. For so long she had yearned to be a mother once more for children are born with an explicit bond to their mothers. A love that transcends petty political problems, a desire to be close to one who nourished them. The loss of her own children at such a young age had been heart wrenching, a pain she did not wish on those around her, but that time had come and went. She had learned to live with it. Yet she had no mate, no love, and when she looked upon Sven she was forced to think - if one such as her, a lesser of evils in this world, could be brought to the point of kidnaping a pup, would her own be safe? It wasn't like she had done it consciously, but it still had happened.

She does not need to look around to know that Heyel has come to call. They have the soul bond; she can feel his presence like a hulking shelter nearby and her own relaxed muscles seem to further stretch and sigh in contentment. Their initial meeting had been a bit - irritating, to say the least, but she had been battling her own inner demons then. Since that time she had come to terms with the things she had done and what fate had brought upon her. Now she can take some pleasure in the way his presence soothes her in this peaceful moment.

It is only natural for him to offer some witty comment about nature itself. She thinks he would challenge Fate if it would do any good. Turning her maw towards him she offers a sardonic smile, her breath leaving her in a sigh of relaxation at his sheer closeness. "Can you not feel the peace in these woods?" She cocks her head languidly, curious at how he might take her laid back attitude compared to their last volatile meeting.

Natu finally sits with Heyel next to her, curling her tail around her and grinning brightly at his disdain for dirt. "Maybe if you weren't so large then you wouldn't get so dirty." She places her own significantly smaller paw next to his, noting the way his weight pressed deeper into the snow and how she seemed to float atop it. "And this isn't particularly fun, just... relaxing. Besides, I was only waiting for you to show up so that you can show me how to have fun since I am such a bore." A droll stare is given to him with a twinkling of amusement in her icy blue eyes.

"It is flourishing. Dany certainly has her own group of loyalists. She is an adept leader but I..." And she pauses, her gaze dropping to study the snow at her feet. But here, with her other half of her soul, she feels the need to part with her thoughts. "I long for something more than being a loyalist. Something stronger." There is a firmness to her words she lifts her eyes to his lavender ones, silently questioning his thoughts on such.
