He’d gone away. There had been nothing left for him to do, so he’d simply left. That didn’t matter, it was in the past, and everyone knew why he’d done it. Everyone of importance knew why he’d done it. Anyone that was relevant. Not that any of them were, now. The official story was that he’d been looking for Calista, and that wasn’t a lie—Bane looked for her everywhere, in everything he ever did. The other reasons were a list longer than his arm, and they were things he didn’t want to get into. Too much pain, too much wasted hope, wasted time. That didn’t matter anymore. He was back, if for no other reason than he’d gone as far as he could go. The creature had left no stone unturned, looking for something that could have kept him together. Wolves aren’t solitary creatures by nature, and yet he’d been completely and entirely alone. Strange to think… Bane wished fleetingly that something had up and killed him off in those days he’d spent wandering. No such luck. A shock that some pack didn’t see the stray and off him, that some bigger predator sense his weaknesses and just snap. It didn’t matter. Nothing mattered anymore. He was back, and he was supposed to give a fuck. There was a feast going on below, or there had been recently. Bane was used to killing what he needed, hunting for himself. A hare here or there to keep the hunger from eating him alive, squirrels and chipmunks to keep him going. That was all. He had no interest in meeting what there was of his pack now. Did he even belong with them anymore? No. It didn’t matter. He made his way with sure feet up the side of the rock face, the way he always used to when he was a younger man. Still strong and quick, intelligent and tortured. Right. Nothing had changed after all, as he sat upon tense haunches at what he’d until recently believed was the top of the world. The Bells Dyrim - The Speaker: Lead diplomat and is often times sent out to maintain good relations with allied packs. Charged with educating the Ambassadors in diplomatic ways. Astarael - The Weeper: The commander and lead warrior of the pack. Charged with teaching the Berserkers the art of battle. Clayr - The Seer: Charged with the pack's health, and in teaching the Shiners and those who wish to pursue the art of healing. Kibeth - The Walker: The leader of the Guard. They are the foremost line of defense, charged with securing the borders and bringing pertinent information from within and without the pack to the appropriate wolf. They also lead the Outriders. Ranna - The Sleeper: Assists the queen in guarding from theft as well as advising her of news and gossip from the whole of Moladion. Charged with teaching the Mages about theft, secret keeping, and overall sneakiness. Allowed to make and block steals. Mosrael - The Waker: Caretaker and storyteller of the pack, also the head pupsitter. Often times this wolf will look after the pack's youth and educate them of Spirane and Moladion's history. Leads the Remembrancers in pup watching. Charter - The Power: The master hunter of the pack. Leads and organizes all hunts and teaches the Falconers the art of the hunt. The Classes Berserkers: Warriors and hunters of the pack. Falconers: The pack hunters Mages: Thieves and secret keepers of the pack. Allowed to make and block steals. Ambassadors: Diplomats of the pack. Shiners: Healers of the pack. Outriders: The pack scouts who bring all news of happenings across Moladion back. Remembrancers: Wolves of a kind nature who look after the younger wolves of the pack. These wolves may wish to learn more about healing, but this is not a requirement.
