Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

HEY BROTHER, THERE'S AN ENDLESS ROAD TO RE-DISCOVER, HEY SISTER, KNOW THE WATER'S SWEET BUT BLOOD IS THICKER. oH, IF THE SKY COMES FALLING DOWN FOR YOU, THERE'S NOTHING IN THIS WORLD I WOULDN'T DO HEY BROTHER, DO YOU STILL BELIEVE IN ONE ANOTHER? HEY SISTER, DO YOU STILL BELIEVE IN LOVE, I WONDER? OH, IF THE SKY COMES FALLING DOWN, THERE'S NOTHING IN THIS WORLD I WOULDN'T DO

I see a quick flash of white and know all too well her smell to know that I am in more trouble than the princeling that had brought the cow into Glorall, but I know I have a one track mind when hunting and it is tuned to the cow, so I do not hesitate or falter in my attack on the cows face. My body lands clear of the horns with only bruising to my already sore shoulder as a horn bashes side long into it. Buffalo have a thick hunch over its neck and so I let my legs grapple with the face, teeth grabbing for all manner of flesh to rip and open up so that she will bleed profusely. The first adult female that speaks to me only makes me roll my eyes, after some biting and hopefully some eye gouging from my blunt claws then I leap away. "I was not speaking of your pup," I say with a calm voice, he had of course been talking to the two boys, not having seen the third pup hiding out.

I keep myself moving this whole time, diving in to grab at the snout of the cow to keep her attention on me "fight me later woman, focus on the cow!" I do not agree with her attitude and it is only because I grew up in a pack where differences are put aside, ranks forgotten in order to work as a team to take down any size pray. "Leave the boy alone," I growl out not caring this time if she attacked me or the cow this time. Even if he was old enough as I took a step back to gage my next attack he catches sight of the tired pup, he may have brought the cow here but he was to tired right now to be of much use. At least the other female seemed more accepting to my suggestion, albeit a bit more comicalish in her vocals. With renewed gusto and my paws always moving for that was how you don't die in a hunt.

I nod my head to the second female glad to have a few on my side, I can only hope that Riopat stays well away from us and that is when the others all move in for a leg, delayed a half a second I see the cow pull her head up in pain, shock and fear and I make for her throat, my jaws open wide and make to slice through the skin and once I know I have much of the flesh in my mouth I dig in with my feet and hope to thrash my head back and forth to rip what I had in my mouth off the cow. I hope that with three of her legs damaged at the tendons, multiple abrasions and now as I pull my mouth away with the satisfied tang of blood that she can do nothing but stagger about in confusion and blood loss and we'd be able to relax and keep her within Glorral while she basically succumbed to her injuries.
