At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Priam's deep eyes scanned over the younger brute's pale face, his head cocked to the side and auds perked to catch any stray word that might tumble from the lad's lips. The other male seemed to be in deep thought and, from the way his hues were locked on the king's, Priam figured his son was trying to connect his face with an image from the past. A slight smirk crawled over his obsidian kissers at the thought. Rodan had been so young when he left, he definitely wouldn't remember who he was. Hell, Ro probably didn't even remember his name.

Had Priam ever allowed the boy to call him anything other than king? He doubted it. Perhaps his lovely queen had uttered his name once or twice, but surely not enough times for it to stick in his son's brain. Shaking his head slowly, the shadowy demon lifted his gaze from the littered ground to meet the ghostly boy's eyes once more. He lifted his tail higher into the air then, noticing how Rodan's body seemed to relax completely in his presence.

Stupid boy. Rodan had always been a shallow one. Even before he could speak, Priam knew Tempest was the smarter of the two. He was the one who was meant to take over the burden of being king. It was a hard, stressful job, only honored to those who truly deserved to rule. And his son was that wolf. Still, he had kept Rodan around until his queen was no longer with him. She had loved Rodan so dearly, had even given him his name. How could Priam just let him continue to bring her memory up? How dare Rodan be so similar to her? It wasn't fair. She was the only one he'd ever loved, and now she was gone, leaving behind this disgrace of a son who shared so many features with her.

Shaking his great crown once more, Priam looked up when the smaller boy began to speak. The tone nearly had the king growling, but he managed to fight off the sound, giving a bitter laugh instead. "Well, you see, I don't intend to stay here. So far, I have not found a reason to want to live here. I just wish to find my family and leave," he paused in his words, letting his hard gaze scan all over the boy's ivory frame when he introduced himself.

"My name is not important, kid. But if you must know, it's Priam. Now, are you sure you haven't seen a large group pass by here at all?" The words came out rough, short, and he knew he was being risky by admitting his name. But Rodan wouldn't remember, he was sure of that.

OOC - This is awful and late, I know, I'm so sorry! <3
