Blaaargh, rusty!
I hope his lesson idea is okay too, I couldn't think of anything. Total blank for some reason! lol.

At Khasekhemwy's sheepish admittance, Danny cast a glance over the chaos of the kitchen again, this time with a bit more understanding. He'd only seen the areas Khasekhemwy considered most important, he supposed, since most of the rooms he'd visited beforehand had been tidy. Or maybe it was Khase's magic, allowing him to organize without even touching the books. Still, he gave a small nod and bit his tongue, keeping any comments on the state of the kitchen to himself. Solarius, on the other hand, had no such qualms.

"No, really? I couldn't tell at all," the tiger said, his voice dripping with mock surprise. Then, belatedly realizing he'd just teased a god - a magic-less god, but one all the same - and after earning a glare from his partner, Sol cleared his throat awkwardly and disappeared beneath the table.

Danny eventually worked his way through the piles of miscellaneous items until he discovered the plate, knife, and fork waiting beneath the tea towels. He turned back to the deity to find Khase looking at him rather expectantly. Danny looked back at him, clearly confused for a few moments, before it hit him. With a quick "oh!" Danny got to work, quickly cutting the pie into manageable sections before putting a piece onto Khase's plate. After a second of consideration, and thinking it might have been awhile since Khase ate, he slid a second piece onto the plate before setting it before an empty seat at the table, ready for Khase.

Danny had turned back to the kitchen, absently tidying up a bit here and there where he could. He froze, a stack of plates halfway into the cabinet, at the god's next question. "Me?" he squeaked, before hurrying to regain his composure. "Uhm, well, I was wondering if..." Danny hesitated, clearing his throat. He'd had a project he'd started awhile ago, but was struggling on. "I was wondering if maybe you could take a look at something I've been working on and, if you approve, give me some pointers on it?"

Danny pulled two thick medical tomes from his bag and two sketchbooks - only slightly slimmer than the first - and set them before Khasekhemwy. Danny flushed a bit, feeling nervous, but explained after a moment.

"I've been working to translate the English tome into the ancient language, and the ancient language tome into English, in my spare time," he explained. "It seems redundant, I know, but it gives me practice with translating and I feel like I learn everything a little better writing it down. Mostly I've just been making notes on certain things, rather than doing it word for word, but... I'm having some trouble with some of the names."
