Today the Stateline crew was greeted with good fishing weather for our last regular tournament of the year. The North Landing proved to be better than usual for this time of year. Taking home today's top honors was Kevin Love. His sack of fish tipped the scales at 12lbs 15oz. His big fish went 3lbs 13 oz. Second place went to John Harmon. He and his guest(me) weighed in a 5 fish limit that went 11lbs 4oz. John also had the big fish of the tournament that weighed 4lbs 2oz. Third place went to the team of Dave Dozier and Nelson Anderson. Their limit of North Landing bass came in at 9lbs 14oz.
It is worth noting that out of the 11 boats that showed up today, 7 had their limit of 5 bass. Allen Sanford (fishing without dad today), had 9lbs 7oz. James Wilder had 8lbs 10oz. John Goodman had 8lbs 7oz and Chris and Sean Vitovich had 7lbs 8oz. Today's 50/50 payed $45 to Dave Dozier with $40 going to the Classic pot.
Chris and Sean locked up angler of the year honors with Nelson and Dave coming in second. I ended up with the seasons big fish that went 6lbs 4oz. And finally today's winner, Kevin Love, drew the Perquimans as the site of our club Classic next month. Hope to see you all there. Remember, single members can team up for the classic if they wish.
