The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Dark, dark! The Horror of darkness, like a shroud, wraps me and bears me on through mist and cloud. -Sophocles

It was clear this boy was a bit annoyed at his interruption but that never did bother Underidge. There wasn't a bone in his body that ever screamed 'scared' and he wasn't about to cower before some foul smelling stray male. What he needed was someone to align with and help him test out his limits. Someone that wouldn't squirm at some of the more vile things Underidge was eager to try. Sarabi was his closest ally but even she had limits. He suspected she wouldn't dare allow him to complete his observations the way he wished to. The way he wished to learn of pain tolerence, the way he wished to feel that surge of dominance within him. Poisoning Ellie had not done the trick. He needed more.

Those eerie silver eyes flash back to the black and red boy, noting his own snarl with a matching sneer. Did he think to attack Underidge? Let him try. He was much bigger than Under was but that didn't mean that the silver tipped boy was a weak opponent. He was slippery as an eel. As vicious as a cornered boar. If only he had tusks to gore his opponent, but then that was what teeth and claws were for.

It appears as though Nogitsune has decided to come along with Underidge and his face turns into something wickedly pleased. Large ears spin towards the harried hare but it appears that today hare was not on their list of things to hunt. He spun his eyes back around to Nogitsune, appraising him and finding that he was impressed with the male. Would he make a worthy companion? He lets the older boy push past him. As hateful as he can be sometimes there is a keen intelligence within Underidge, a byproduct of his clever father, and he can weigh options when the need arise.

"By all means, lead the way then," he mocks the boy, swishing his tail in a dismissive manner. If Nogitsune should look back at his flank then Underidge would flash him a mean smile but for now he would see what this boy would chose.
