Grimbaud reveled in the woman's attention. Though she'd been looked after more than I'd expected since our arrival here at the Castle, much of the attention she'd received were from males. That wasn't a problem in itself, seeing as she would happily befriend anyone from either sex, but I could tell that female interaction was something that she was missing from her life. I, of course, am also female, but it's not quite the same when one is a fairy and the other a big cat. Grimbaud's smile, as Ciara leaned forward and listened intently to her 'confession', was full of joy and, already, a bit of love. Grimbaud's love was a special thing, given without hesitation to anyone and everyone and yet, somehow, never lessened by the fact she gave it so willingly.

"I drew them myself!" Grim says, beaming into the woman's blue eyes. Of course, anyone could have guessed this (the whiskers were rather lopsided), but she still looked rather proud of herself for fooling her newest best friend in the whole wide world. "I can draw you some! But we have to get car-coal first, and we have to make sure it's not hot cuz otherwise you might get burned."

My girl's attention span is not exactly the longest, and in an instant she is captivated by the woman's hair. Her touch is tentative, just a little shy, and rather worshipful. She smiles as she compliments the woman. Perhaps the woman could convince her to actually brush her hair for once, if they were to trade the chore. I wince as I study my girl again, finding her own light brown mop a rather disheveled mess after her day's adventures.

Grimbaud's face lit up in an instant, going from mildly sunny to as bright as the sun itself, as the small monkey clambered up her and ran her hand over my girl's hair herself. She giggled, holding very still to keep from dislodging the creature even as she reached up to return the petting. I couldn't help but smile in reply to Ciara's evident eye roll at the monkey; their bond, much like my own with Grimbaud, seemed strong and true. Grimbaud was busily praising the creature now, raving about everything from her coat's colors to its softness to how she'd never met a monkey like her before. I took advantage of the situation to speak a bit with Ciara. I didn't know why I felt drawn to the pair; my girl was usually the social creature while I more often preferred to stay on the sidelines of any interaction. But... something said it was right, that I ought to engage with this particular one.

"She's my girl," I answer, a soft ripple of my pelt imitating a human's shrug. "And she's..." I glance at Nalani and Grim, busy in their own little world, and smiled a little. "Special. I thank you for being so kind to her, I know it probably wasn't your intention to be covered in charcoal this morning."
