One violet blue eye moved to follow the younger child as he hurried away, evidently my reputation having proceeded me, sending the boy running back to his Mother or god knows where he came from. Hmm. Maybe he wasn’t trying to run a border patrol, because of that is the calibre of warriors we are nor producing I have some serious questions for Isola, or Amir rather, isn’t he the one in charge of the army? Maybe he did lead our pack to victory although I am entirely assured it was Heyel’s battle plan that actually turned the tide in the war against Iromar, the biggest waste of time in my entire life I am sure, the only thing I ever earned out of it being a slightly damaged eye and being able to lord it over that foul pack that I had defeated two of their warriors mid fight. At least, that’s the way I choose to see it. The white and grey boy spoke once more, my attention fixating back upon him as he rattled off something in response to my early sentence about Solaris. Oh look. The Ava baby knows big words. Alright so I’m not entirely sure why this boy annoys me so very much, as I said, we’d even done some training together before he chose a different path and yet there is something about him I just find agitating, the way he sits and moves and speaks is so familiar and yet I can hardly put my paw on it. I suppose he reminds me of Ava and really Ava and I never did see eye to eye. Ridiculous giant female that she is. I’d love to know who the boys Father is though, who she finally let get on top of her like that after being convinced she was going to eat anyone who tried. Save for Ayal though all her children were white, Anselm the spitting image of Heyel, in fact, Castor reminded me a little of him too, the way he spoke anyway- although I knew he couldn’t be the sire, of that I was entirely certain. It had to be one of us though, someone white. Hell, maybe she just went out and found a white male so she could claim her children actually had Angel bood, maybe they don’t at all.

I think maybe I was staring at him a little to intently as my mind turned over these thoughts, offering a fairly derogatory snort as I turned away, tail flicking to curl about my snowy paws before I offered a roll of my shoulders all the same in a wolfish shrug. Honestly I hardly cared if Castor spoke to Solaris or not, my nephew and I were not entirely close, the words holding little true meaning in their entirety as I offered a slight eye roll. I never did enjoy acting my age, Heyel thinks I have some sort of emotional problem, that I feel too much or feel too deeply. I think I’m just surrounded by imbeciles, my case in point surely proven by the wolf sitting in front of me, meeting my gaze entirely in a manner both slightly challenging and yet dominating. Really? Oh you poor silly little boy. I am entirely sure he probably can fight and yet against myself I truly do not favour his chances, in fact from the perfection of his hide I doubt very much he has ever even been in a true battle. Children are ever so amusing. When he asks after Heyel however I allowed my attention to return to him, one eye lifting slightly in curiosity. Alright, so I knew what Castor was asking, he wanted to know where Heyel was and yet…I really didn’t feel like being helpful today.

Yes, I was accusing him of lying in some sense of the word. Maybe I am a little…dramatic, but I’m hardly stupid, I haven’t lived this long within the Art by being an utter fool and his words hold the barest hint of loopholes I’m content to tug a little at and see what unravels. I do so enjoy being underestimated. Any easy grin moved to trace over my lips once more, eyes of violet blue meeting his own.
