A sudden voice is a distraction, though it comes from down below. Cae had been gazing out and far away, his mismatched gaze glazed over in thought until the spell is broken. The young wolf finds an even younger female that had called to him, one of tans and crèmes, reminding him very much of his Mother. Though there is no sign of russet on her pelt, instead a silver dorsal stripe along her spine and even along her forehead. She was not a wolf he had met before, but she was a wolf all the same, and a pack member. To some, pack members meant family. Cae didn’t know what it meant to him so far, but it meant something, and that was enough. He watched her for but a moment before allowing his voice to carry down to her, not speaking louder than he truly had to. Speech, after all, was not a frequent activity of his. At least it had not been, anyway.

”I found my way up by paw upon boulder.” And with that, the earth toned boy of crèmes, chocolates, russets and tans pushed up on his paws, standing now to gaze with more ease upon the young girl. Cae had no intention on allowing her to injure herself attempting to come where he lounge. If she truly wished it, he would find another place for her, perhaps even them to climb to and enjoy. It did not have to be as grand as his special ledge, but it could be something. And mayhaps, one day, when she was older and capable, he could indeed show her his spot, if he remained on the Mountain, as did she. Tilting his crème jaw to the side, dual eyes of teal and mahogany watch her before he takes a step toward his path downward, should he so need to ascend rather quickly. But first, his voice, yet again, a special treat for treat for the girl though most likely unknowingly. “Might you want to find a ledge as well?”

It did no harm to know another pack member beside his Gaia, and perhaps, if he enjoyed her, he could even introduce his sister to the young girl. But the lass would have to do well with him, and even Cae did not know just how that would go. He also knew that there was really only one way to find out.
