Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Hiram’s nose twitched at the salty scent of a glorall wolf. Had he used to smell like that? Must have. Well, it was an inviting aroma, anyways. Who didn’t love a relaxing stroll on the coast line? Carefully, he turned his head to see where the scent was strongest, when he’d found it, he settled his eyes tricolored eyes on the spot. He damn near pooped when he saw the fluffy fur of his brother. Well! He hadn’t expected things to go so easily! He lifted a paw in greeting, claiming his name with an egoistic smile. Hiram’s eyes widened as Sinclair closed the space before him before he could say two mice worth, and was receiving a hug. Hiram stiffened at first (he hadn’t been hugged genuinely in years), but found himself utterly relieved. Maybe because Sin wasn’t mad? Maybe because Hiram had missed him a lot more than he’d realized. Hiram tucked a paw around Sin for a brief moment before also stepping away.

He too, couldn’t wipe the wide, childish grin from his face at seeing his littermate. He was so buff! What sort of training had they done to him? Well, Hiram wasn’t of the same build though - he was forever of the lean sort. Hiram’s face formed a looked of an expected grimace at Sin’s questions. He had been momma’s little boy… until he’d found out why he even existed. It was foolish for him to be mad now. He wasn’t anymore; he was entirely prepared to throw himself at Mater’s paws and tell her he was sorry for running away for years. After all, his travel into the loner’s life had cured him of thinking himself somehow more lowly since he wasn’t from an approved or “perfect” bloodline.

Anyhow, he was more upset about the fact that she apparently wasn’t around and that Sin had been made to live thinking that Sinopa and he had went off together without him. He shook of the bad feeling easily though and he answered Sin’s first question, “Went loner, I did. It was fun, mostly." Especially when you’re that ‘mysterious loner’ who comes into a pack visiting for a few days. The ladies seemed to love that.

Hiram chuckled to himself at the memories. The brief relations hadn’t gone anywhere, but it had been fun to be the center of attention. Hiram became slightly more serious when he answered the question about Mater. His face seemed to sour some, and his voice was far from affectionate, though it was sad, “I don’t know where Mater is. I suppose I expected to find her here, but if she’s not,” Hiram shrugged, “Well, anyways. I haven’t seen her in years - three maybe?”

Half of him bitterly accused her of running off with some other male to deal with him having run away, but his more mature half scolded his irrational accusation. He knew mom loved him, he did. He just… Well, he said he wasn’t angry anymore, but obviously he was still a bit bitter - or at the very least, very ready to accept his anger back.

Hiram however, shifted easily back into a enthused state as he continued, “And I haven’t seen you in at least that long! What the hell happened? You look… not like a puff ball.” Hiram teased, brushing a paw playfully at Sinclair’s long, fluffy fur. He might have been Mater’s little boy, but Sin had been her favorite to cuddle. He’d been so fluffy! He’d grown into his fur and, obviously, had been training hard.
