Two sisters had approached two sisters. Where Hickere and Dickere only looked alike perhaps in body type, the pair they had approached certainly looked identical. Of course, that could be because Hickere and Dickere were only half sisters, but that’s all semantics.
The pair stepped forward to meet the other two, exchanging soft huffs of breath as the gentle quiet of the forest relaxed around them. After, Hickere and Dickere both stepped back to a comfortable degree, settling in for a decent conversation. Both the girls perked their ears forward as their eyes warmly and curiously regarded the similarly aged two-toned mares they stood with. Lyden’s daughters, Moonshine and Meradith. Dickere looked at them curiously (as did Hickere, knowing these were Braylen’s siblings). “The peak?” Asked Dickere with a curious touch to her tone, “is that the all mare herd?” The girls had heard of it shortly after arriving to the islands though the concept seemed quite foreign and intriguing to them.
Dickere smiled at Meradith as she mentioned having seen her with Lyden and gave an agreeing nod of her head, remembering the moment as well.
“Yes!” Said Hickere, smiling broadly in a way that clearly spoke volumes for her affection toward the sister’s brother. “Yes, I’m here with Braylen.” And quite happy about it, it would seem. The grullo girl couldn’t keep herself from smiling the very moment the young stallion was spoken of.
“Are you just staying here throughout the season?” Asked Dickere, turning the conversation back to the visiting daughters. There were personal wonderings on her mind but none were appropriate to ask, especially considering she’d barely met the girls.
