Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Goodnight, sleep tight and don't let the dead bite

Memories blur and swirl, pulling you into the deepest recesses of your mind, pulling you back to what's long gone and done with, at tims making you again a victim of your past. Our darkest desires and most hated memories are what tend to lay in wait deep in our minds, taking advantage of us in our weakest moments. We are lost if we let these things control us, for they will chain us to the ground and take our place in our own bodies, masquerading as us in our own pelts, decieving everyone around us, ready to strike like a coiled viper. The past is what sets us on the path our paws lay on today, but if we say we didn't make the beds we lay in we'd be lying to ourselves. Nothing is beyond our control, no choice is made without our influencing or deciding it, we do not love without having faith in it, we control our own destinies. There is darkness inside of everyone, but what defines us is what we do about it. Do we let it chain us or do we fight to remain free, do we submit to our darkest desires, or do we survive and fight for the freedom that is our right?

Perhaps it is foolish the way my indigo eyes are turned to the sky beseeching an answer, as though the answer will somehow just flow into my mind where it had not been before. Perhaps I am still somewhat of a youth in ways that not even myself can understand, ways that only the outsiders can see in me. With every breath I take I wait for the answers, and yet I am foolish to think that they would come so simply, with no work put into investigation, no questions asked of the living around me that can speak.

I know that one day I will become something greater than that which I am now, something that my father in the afterlife can be proud to have had, something that someone needs and can depend on. That is the future that I see for myself, blonde dusted muzzle still as I wade through my own mind. I am broken free of my mental trappings at the approach of another, indigo eyes meeting her tangerine ones as the tip of my tail is given a greeting wag, showing that I am neither hostile or startled. My head tilts on it's right axis the slightest scant degrees, wondering who it is that has saved me from myself. Dark red russet saddle marks my hide just behind the shoulders, a vague blurred reprisentation of wings. I am guardedly curious, and yet I will not leave this meeting in uneasy silence, as she has seen fit to speak. "hello, stranger."
