The crucible response

The reason I think there is only one way to interpret the Bible is because it is logical and it is the word of God who is logical being. Since God doesn't lie it isn't possible to believe one part and not another part. The Bible in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 and 1 John 4:1 tells you how to interpret the Bible by telling you to hold on to the good and to test what you are told by studying the Bible itself and not believing everything you are told. The Bible tells you to test to see if things are from God. There are many interpretations because a lot of people just go on what they were taught without reading for themselves. During translations many words were not applied correctly in the new language which causes confusion so readers must find out the original meaning of words that seem to contradict others.

The Bible also says that contradiction is not possible because all truth is in God. Truth cannot contradict This means the Bible must be consistent, which means a correct interpretation may be reached by using Scripture to interpret Scripture.
